    Without having seen the video, I'll tell my impressions of Joe Kent.

    He ran twice for congress in a district adjacent to where I live, and
    his district is one of the few in this area that is a Trump-favorable
    area. So it favors conservatives by default.

    Both campaigns were well funded with a lot of TV time.

    In spite of this, he lost twice to people to the left of him--centrists, really. It's because the more you saw of Kent--and he paid for you to
    see *a lot*--the clearer it because that he was a marginally balanced
    loose cannon.

    It was typical of Trump to appoint an apparent loyalist and disregard
    any other possible negatives.
