    Clearly Spain are the national team to beat at the moment
    though, European and World Champions.

    Agree. They had a very easy path to the semis, struggled to get there nevertheless, got past England after an excessively rough game (with an excellent finish indeed) and did next to nothing against Spain, except
    rogue play again for which they finally had a player sent off. Their
    final presence this year clearly doesn't mean much.

    FWIW, 4 years ago they also had Di Maria. And Messi was 4 years younger
    of course.
