Just when FIFA were getting back into it, following
Gianni Infantino's apology, UEFA really put the boot in
by going up the other end and declaring that his apology
doesn't change their planned World Cup boycott.

Looks like I was right about the popcorn after all...

UEFA "boycotting" a WCup that's held in Spain and Portugal and the
final of which will almost certainly be played in Spain ? Won't happen.
What does it even mean ? If a country, say France, wants to play in the
WCup, will it be thrown out of UEFA ? Yeah right.
Probably just PR before FIFA's elections which I understand will be
next year. Maybe Infantino won't gett reelected, but if he will,
everything will fall in line again.

Hopefully Infantino got the message that he can't do at FIFA what his
friend and boss does as US president (withott much success, even for
him, but he can't be thrown out). In any case, in 4 years there will be
no Trump any more, at least not in function, and things will most
likely get back to more or less normal.

    No smoke without fire?

Won't happen. What does it even mean ? If a country, say
France, wants to play in the WCup, will it be thrown out of
    UEFA ? Yeah right.

The 55 UEFA member nations unanimously voted for the planned
'boycott' at last weeks emergency UEFA meeting. (Including
    France and Spain.)

I don't think the boycott will happen either but if things don't
change at FIFA UEFA will look fairly silly if they back down
from their threat and then reap the financial benefits of
co-hosting the 2030 tournament... THAT is something I don't see
happening either. - UEFA seem to be moving into position for the
kill. (The 'kill' being getting rid of Gianni Infantino as FIFA
    President.)

My take: Gianni Infantino will be ousted as President of FIFA at
    next year's elections. (March 2027)

    4-1

The pre season freindly match today was better than any FIFA World Cup
    match this summer.

It really was the weakest WM ever, with the weakest winner. The English
have to be kicking themselves, this was their best chance to win a WM.

Well, yeah... because club football is better than that corrupt

    by year.

So it's good to see the real thing is back.

The 2021 Champions League means I cannot stick the knife into

Indeed. And apparently he just offered helping move Mexico to Conmebol
in exchange of getting their FA's support.

I don't know if Infantino actually bothered to check with Conmebol
before making this offer to Mexico. But even though they ostensibly
opposed his "Fifa Forward Enterprise" project, Conmebol actually
supports him, so it wouldn't surprise me if they were on board with this
plan, or at least willing to play along with it.

All the same, it might just be the case that Infantino is just shooting
around wildly in his search for support, making promises first and
worrying about how (or whether) to honor them later. I don't think
anything will actually come out of this, anyway.

    Best regards,

I would advise against encouraging Binder, he's clearly lost it. I
wouldn't label him as a troll yet, though he's not far off.

That said, I did say after the Euro that Southgate should keep on until
the WCup and England's chances are worse without him. I kind of think I
was right, though it's hard to see them having beaten Spain anyway. But
maybe they would have made it to the final.

Oh Mr FF you are the dumbest gypsy troll there is on this site. Your
lack of any football knowledge is only surpassed by you lack of
