• How do you become FIFA president?

    From Mark@Pammiesheart@yahoo.co.uk to rec.sport.soccer on Wed Aug 5 11:56:31 2026

It sounds, unless it's just media speculation to make headlines, as if
Gianni Infantino might lose his job. I think I might make a better
    president for FIFA.

So, 1stly, what does the job of FIFA president involve?

And 2ndly, how do you actually get the job?

I'd be tempted to say you couldn't do any worse, but in
reality I think you'd be shit. - England would find themselves
barred from World Cups for some spurious reason. (The Wembley
grass isn't green enough, or something.)

So, 1stly, what does the job of FIFA president involve?

Flying around the world promising everything to everyone,
taking their gifts, then smiling and saying thank you.

Oh, you might have to bend over a desk and let Donald Trump
fuck you up the arse though.

And 2ndly, how do you actually get the job?

You bribe the member to nations for their vote, especially the
smaller ones. You then promise them World Cup participation,
which will benefit them all financially... FIFA will then extend
the next World Cup to 128 teams accordingly.

Any serious answers to these questions, or am I going to have to ask
FiFA or Chat GPT or someone?

You have to win the vote from a majority of the 211 Football
Associations. What the president does? He's the CEO of FIFA. Holds the
Council meetings and administrates the organization.

    Tchau!

My answer might have been sarcastic but intrinsically it was
correct... as to get a majority from of a vote of 211 national
football associations would have to involve some form of
bribery. Even if it is not literally bags of cash, it would
involve gifts, promises and other incentives to those
    nations/federations for their vote(s).

Your role as FIFA President, i.e. the man that runs the
business, would be to be a part of that system and make those
deals. Balancing FIFA's needs with your own plans... but the
bottom line is always to make more $$ in the process, both for
    FIFA and yourself.

    This IS how it's done!
