Apparently Concacaf also rejected the plan, and AFC doesn't seem too
keen on it either. Infantino needs 106 votes, but as things stand UEFA
and Concacaf already represent 90 votes against it. It'd only take about
one third of Asia's votes to fluster the project, and that's before
taking into account any CAF and Conmebol's eventual votes against it.

They may need to shelve this thing for a while, at least.

    Best regards,

The planned "European Super League", despite being
overwhelmingly rejected within 48 hours, wasn't officially
cancelled as a project until early this year when UEFA and Real
Madrid came to an agreement. Five years later!

Like that, I think this will run and run...

They may need to shelve this thing for a while, at least.

Nah, FIFA will double-down and throw more $$ at the smaller
national associations. Corruption and bribery is the FIFA way.

Infantino is the Donald Trump of football. - Or thinks he is
    anyway.

Get your bags of popcorn out...

Well... it seems this one didn't run for long.

They tried, but the level of opposition became too much.

FIFA backed down fairly quickly... I'd say Uncle Gianni is
    trying to keep his job.
