  • UEFA vs FIFA all-out war

    To be honest, I'm not sure I follow all the political intricacies, but
    a coarse summary seems to be:

    Infantino: I want to grab even more money out of FIFA
    UEFA: no, enough is enough. We are breaking away.

    I don't quite see that happening (the second part, that is), but
    that's probably because of my lack of imagination...

    Have the Euros every two years and let FIFA have their
    'World Cup' without any European nations...

    I don't quite see that happening (the second part, that is),
    but that's probably because of my lack of imagination...

    It reminds me a bit of all that European Super league talk a
    few years ago.

    It'll be a pity if Chelsea FC can't defend their FIFA $uper
    Casino Cup in 2029 if things don't change though... < big sigh>

    But I'm sure I can live with it!
