RIGA FC (LAT)* v FK Vardar (MKD) 5-2 aet (0-1, 1-2), 8-4 on aggregate
(Taiwo 87', Aouani 92', Siqueira 105', Reginaldo Ramires 109',
Caio 117'; Babunski 17', Omeragib+# 66'; Red Card: Najdovski (Var) 19')
There had already been big opportunities on both sides before Vardar
made up the first-leg deficit when La Masia-trained David Babunski was
left all alone to volley in a cross by Argentine winger Ian Puleio:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536498/191357-Record_2026_07_28_19_17_47_321.mp4
But just two minutes later centre-back Filip Najdovski scythed down
Riga's Gambian striker Mohamed Badamosi, and it probably should have
been a red even if he hadn't been the last man. Riga dominated against
ten men but didn't take any of their chances, and instead they flirted
with disaster when they conceded a weird goal - former Dynamo Kyiv
forward and Luxembourg international Gerson Rodrigues powered into the
box on the left wing, his shot was awkwardly parried by Riga keeper
Frenks Orols, the ball bounced off the knee of Azer Omeragib+#, Orols
parried again, and on the third attempt Omeragib+# volleyed in:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536498/191363-Record_2026_07_28_20_26_52_1.mp4
Ten valiantly fighting North Macedonians held on until three minutes
from time when the Nigerian substitute Abdulrahman Taiwo, a long-time
striker in the Slovakian league for Spartak Trnava and DAC, slid in to
steer home Reginaldo Ramires's cross:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536498/191368-Record_2026_07_28_20_47_49_257.mp4
Vardar completely fell apart in extra time - Tunisian youngster Raki
Aouani volleyed in after stealing the ball from Georgije Jankulov:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536498/191369-Record_2026_07_28_21_02_29_974.mp4
Iago Siqueira curled in a shot from distance:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536498/191372-Record_2026_07_28_21_16_16_160.mp4
Reginaldo Ramires fired in the rebound after Vardar keeper Davor Taleski
had awkwardly parried a Siqueira shot:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536498/191373-Record_2026_07_28_21_27_29_28.mp4
and a cross-shot by fellow Brazilian Caio bounced past everyone into the
far corner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536498/191374-Record_2026_07_28_21_35_53_412.mp4
KF DRITA (KOS)* v Floriana FC (MLT) 2-1 aet (0-1, 1-1), 3-2 on aggregate (Pellumbi 88', Kauan 91' (og); Mbong 40')
Drita had more chances from the start, but the Maltese champions went in
front when Paul Mbong fought his way past two Kosovar defenders, and he
beat Drita keeper Faton Maloku with a powerful shot from just outside
the area:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536501/191365-Record_2026_07_28_20_40_02_376.mp4
The match was quite even after the break, but two minutes from time a
great run by the substitute Raddy Ovouka ended with the former Congolese international teeing up Jorgo Pellumbi for the equaliser:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536501/191377-Record_2026_07_28_21_45_15_951.mp4
In extra time Drita only needed a minute to score the decisive goal,
again it was man of the match Ovouka who broke through on the left wing,
and his cross was turned by Floriana's Brazilian centre-back Kauan into
his own net:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536501/191378-Record_2026_07_28_21_57_51_915.mp4
Floriana didn't manage to create any chances to equalise after that.

APOLLON LIMASSOL FC (CYP)* v FC Dila Gori (GEO) 3-0 (1-0), 7-0 on aggregate (Brandon 22', Rodrigues 62', Escriche 90'+2)
From a corner kick a header by Apollon captain Giorgos Malekkidis went
off the post, the first rebound from Slovenian striker Alen O++bolt was
blocked by Dila keeper Davit Kereselidze, but the second one was
volleyed in by Spanish forward Brandon:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536499/191358-Record_2026_07_28_19_22_10_129.mp4
Garry Rodrigues, who had played two World Cup matches for Cabo Verde,
headed in a cross by former Sturm Graz midfielder Ivan Ljubi-c for
Apollon's second:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536499/191361-Record_2026_07_28_20_20_42_970.mp4
and in stoppage time Apollon scored almost a carbon copy of that goal,
only this time it was Spaniard Dani Escriche who headed in a cross by
Angolan right-back Bruno Gaspas:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536499/191367-Record_2026_07_28_20_50_06_477.mp4
FC CSKA 1948 SOFIA (BUL) v FC Spartak Trnava (SLK)* 0-0 aet (0-0, 0-0),
0-0 on aggregate, CSKA 1948 win 5-3 on penalties
The biggest chance of the match fell to Spartak, but a shot by Slovakian
youth international Filip Trello hit the post.
After 210 scoreless minutes the only miss in the shoot-out came when
CSKA 1948 keeper Petar Marinov guessed correctly and with a good save
kept out Croatian midfielder Marin Lau+ii-c's penalty.

KF Dukagjini Klin|2 (KOS) v FC LUGANO (SUI)* 1-5 (1-3), 1-6 on aggregate (Maliqi 10'; Behrens 6', 36', 59', Dos Santos 9', Sinani 52' (og))
Following the narrow win at home the Swiss favourites immediately took
the lead in Prishtina when their veteran German striker Kevin Behrens
beat the Kosovar offside trap to run onto Anto Grgi-c's long ball over
the top, and with a little luck the former Union Berlin forward managed
to push the ball past Dukagjini keeper Egzon Lekaj and roll it into the
empty net:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536453/191499-Record_2026_07_29_16_36_37_410.mp4
Three minutes later German-Greek former Dortmund II defender Antonios Papadopoulos sent another ball over the Dukagjini defence, and Inter-
trained former Italian youth international Mattia Zanotti crossed for
Daniel Dos Santos to nod into the empty net from close range:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536453/191500-Record_2026_07_29_16_39_16_773.mp4
There was a third goal inside the first ten minutes, and this one on
the Kosovar side as Lugano keeper David von Ballmoos spilled a shot from distance by Haitian striker Jeudi Stevenson and Kosovo youth
international Meris Maliqi was fastest to the rebound:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536453/191501-Record_2026_07_29_16_40_31_721.mp4
This was only a minor hiccup for the Ticinesi though as Behrens scored
his second by chesting down another long ball by Papadopolous and
volleying past Lekaj:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536453/191503-Record_2026_07_29_17_06_42_676.mp4
After the break Egzon Sinani very awkwardly volleyed Dos Santos's cross
into his own net:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536453/191506-Record_2026_07_29_17_39_17_306.mp4
and Behrens completed his hat trick by tapping a feed from Lugano's Kosovar-Swiss midfielder Uran Bislimi into the empty net:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536453/191508-Record_2026_07_29_17_46_29_542.mp4
FC K|yBENHAVN (DEN)* v FC Polissya Zhytomyr (UKR) 2-1 (1-0), 5-4 on aggregate (Elyounoussi 27' (pen), Robert Silva 61'; Hayduchyk 90'+3;
Red Card: Suzuki (K|+b) 47')
The Danes took the lead when Giorgi Maisuradze got beaten by tricky
young winger Robert Silva, who had already been crucial for FCK in the
first leg, and Polissya's Georgian right-back unceremoniously slid into
the Brazilian's legs to give away a penalty, despatched by Mohamed
Elyounoussi:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536454/191517-Record_2026_07_29_19_25_56_365.mp4
In what's slowly becoming a theme for the Danish clubs in Europe this
year FCK centre-back Junnosuke Suzuki, who got two matches for Japan
at the World Cup and a broken nose against Lyngby once he came back,
got himself sent off for trying to undress Ihor Krasnopir as last man
after he had misjudged a long ball:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536454/191527-Record_2026_07_29_20_05_01_374.mp4
But even down to ten Copenhagen managed to catch Polissya on the break
when a long ball by Elyounoussi released Mads Emil Madsen on the counter
and he squared for FCK's life insurance Robert to tap in the ultimately decisive goal:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536454/191532-Record_2026_07_29_20_19_44_545.mp4
In stoppage time the unlucky Ukrainians did pull one back when the
substitute Mykola Hayduchyk deflected in Borys Krushynskyi's shot:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536454/191544-Record_2026_07_29_20_51_16_755.mp4
but the final whistle came directly afterwards.
SK RAPID (AUT)* v FC Santa Coloma (AND) 6-2 (3-1), 9-3 on aggregate
(Kara 10', 33', 63', Dahl 24', Cvetkovi-c 58', Wurmbrand 83'; Guti 30',
Abreu 87')
Ercan Kara swept in Bendeg||z Bolla's cross for an early opener, and a
nice passing move that started in Rapid's defence ended with Aussie
winger Marco Tilio centering for Petter Nosa Dahl at the far post whose
shot was slapped by FCSC's Mexican keeper Andr|- Alcar|iz into his own
net:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536455/191545-Record_2026_07_29_20_56_22_601.mp4
Credit to the Andorrans though who played in a positive manner
throughout the match and scored one through their Spanish centre-back
Guti who headed in a cross by |Ulex G||mez:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536455/191550-Record_2026_07_29_21_01_52_485.mp4
Kara got his second of the night following a simple one-two with Rapid
captain Matthias Seidl, brother of Simon Seidl who had scored for Sturm
Graz in Scotland the day before:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536455/191551-Record_2026_07_29_21_05_32_701.mp4
Rapid's fourth probably shouldn't have counted as Nenad Cvetkovi-c was
likely offside when Kara flicked on Bolla's free-kick, but in the
Conference League qualifiers there's no VAR, and in this match it
probably wasn't all that important:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536455/191559-Record_2026_07_29_21_49_28_843.mp4
Alcar|iz then pushed a shot by Jannes Horn against the crossbar, but a
minute later he was beaten again as Kara completed his hat trick by
slotting in yet another Bolla cross:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536455/191561-Record_2026_07_29_21_54_16_697.mp4
Rapid continued to cut the Andorrans open on the wing, Demir's through
ball found Horn on the left side, and he centred for Nikolaus Wurmbrand
to tap in Rapid's sixth:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536455/191567-Record_2026_07_29_22_13_42_122.mp4
Three minutes from time the generous Rapid defence allowed the Betis-
trained substitute Ricardo Abreu to wriggle his way through and score
a second consolation goal for the valiant Andorrans:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536455/191568-Record_2026_07_29_22_18_15_374.mp4

FC Petrocub H|<nce+Oti (MDA) v FK BORAC BANJA LUKA (BIH)* 3-3 (2-0), 3-6
on aggregate
(Rotaru 13', 52', Popescu 19'; Savi-c 50', Hiro+i 56', Rogulji-c 78')
The Moldovan champions threatened to stage an unlikely comeback already
early on as their young striker Nicolae Rotaru volleyed in a cross by
veteran captain Ion Jardan:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536467/191696-Record_2026_07_30_19_14_08_527.mp4
and soon afterwards Petru Popescu duped his marker Nemanja Jak+ii-c and surprised Borac's 18-year-old keeper Mladen Jurkas, Bosnia-Herzegovina's
third choice at the World Cup, with a great shot into the near top
corner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536467/191702-Record_2026_07_30_19_19_51_625.mp4
With extra time only one goal away Austrian journeyman Stefan Savi-c
managed to calm Bosnian nerves a bit when he collected a ball at the
edge of the area, cut inside, and beat Petrocub keeper Silviu +Rmalenea
with a precise shot into the far corner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536467/191729-Record_2026_07_30_20_06_26_272.mp4
Still, just two minutes later Rotaru restored Petrocub's two-goal lead
when he likewise fired a great shot from the edge of the area into the
top corner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536467/191731-Record_2026_07_30_20_08_03_739.mp4
But again just four minutes after that a free-kick by former Dortmund
and Cologne midfielder Milo+i Joji-c was volleyed in by Amer Hiro+i at the
far post:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536467/191735-Record_2026_07_30_20_11_45_62.mp4
and the Moldovans had no more answer to that. Late on Ante Rogulji-c
buried a Savi-c assist on the break:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536467/191759-Record_2026_07_30_20_33_53_646.mp4
ETO FC (HUN)* v FC Atert Bissen (LUX) 1-1 (0-1), 7-3 on aggregate
(Krpi-c 76' (pen); Ferber 28'; Red Card: Zeghdane (Ate) 31')
On the break Belgian striker Roman Ferber volleyed in a cross by Toufik Zeghdane:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536468/191849-Record_2026_07_30_22_04_57_836.mp4
but just three minutes later Atert's Algerian left-back saw a somewhat
harsh red card when he slid in a bit optimistically and caught Gy+ar's
Gambian winger Nfansu Njie on the shin. Shortly after the break ETO were awarded a handball penalty when a direct free-kick got tangled in the Luxembourg wall, but their new Montenegrin forward Viktor -Eukanovi-c, on
loan from Hammarby, sent the spot kick against the right post.
Nevertheless the Hungarians did get the equaliser from the spot after 19-year-old B|ilint Selyem in his professional debut for the club had
been brought down in the area by PSG youth product Rafa|2l Fernandes, and
this time around ETO's Serbian centre-back Miljan Krpi-c left Atert's French-Moroccan keeper Yassine Gourari Tebaa no chance.
All four Luxembourg teams have been eliminated, but this creditable draw
by Atert at least temporarily lifted them out of the Bottom Five. Still,
since the Georgian champions Iberia and the Northern Irish champions
Larne are going to play each other, at least one of those countries will definitely overtake them, so beginning in 2028-29 Luxembourg will lose a European starter.
The New Saints FC (WAL)* v FC FLORA (EST) 1-0 (0-0), 1-1 on aggregate,
Flora win 4-2 on penalties
(Wilson 90'+1)
Just when it looked as if the Welsh teams wouldn't even manage a single
win in Europe this season a long ball into the Estonian box wasn't
cleared properly, and Ben Wilson fired the loose ball into the far
corner. But in the shoot-out Wilson saw his penalty saved by Flora
keeper Evert Gr|+nvald, and while Nathan Shepperd in the TNS net also
saved against Tony Varjund, Josh Lock sent the decisive penalty over the crossbar.
Wales finish their European season second from last, behind Montenegro
and just 1.5 points ahead of San Marino. But San Marino still have a
team in the competition (thanks to the luck of the draw in which Tre
Fiori received a bye to ConfLQ3).
FK Sutjeska (MNE)* v FK ML VITEBSK (BLR) 1-2 (0-1), 1-5 on aggregate (To+ikovi-c 84'; Kontsevoy 16', Diabat|- 90')
Sutjeska keeper Vladan Giljen spilled a cross by Serbian winger Radivoj
Bosi-c, and Artem Kontsevoy volleyed into the gaping net:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536494/191806-Record_2026_07_30_21_16_37_467.mp4
Six minutes from time the Montenegrins could hope at least for one
respectable result this season as the substitute Bal+ia To+ikovi-c managed
to send in a shot through the legs of Kirill Gomanov that beat ML
Vitebsk keeper Pavel Pavlyuchenko:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536494/191888-Record_2026_07_30_22_42_38_160.mp4
but in the last minute Bassekou Diabat|- played a one-two with Valery
Gromyko to burst into the box, and the former Malian international
beat Giljen with a shot into the far corner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536494/191889-Record_2026_07_30_22_48_15_208.mp4
which meant that Montenegro would indeed end their European campaign
this year with ten defeats in ten matches. Ouch.
This has been the first perfect zero in the current qualification set-
up, and the first ever in which ten matches didn't result in a single
point.
Main Path
FC TOBOL (KAZ)* v FK Panev-u++ys (LTU) 1-1 aet (1-1, 1-1), 2-2 on
aggregate, Tobol win 3-2 on penalties
(Talal 45'+3; Petkevi-iius 33')
With VAR entering the stage only in the 3rd Conference League Qualifying
Round, both goals were rather controversial - Panev-u++ys right-back
Ernestas Burdzilauskas pushed Aleksandr Zuev off the ball, allowing his Belgian-Ghanaian teammate Isaac Asante to deliver a cross that Nauris Petkevi-iius met with an excellent header into the far corner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536456/191634-Record_2026_07_30_16_33_59_60.mp4
while at the other end Moroccan midfielder Amine Talal bundled both
ball and opponent Rokas Rasimavi-iius over the line:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536456/191636-Record_2026_07_30_16_49_11_261.mp4
In the second half a curler from Zuev went off the right post and in
extra time the Kazakhs ruined a two-on-one with an offside pass. In
the shootout Rasimavi-iius sent his effort against the crossbar, and
that miss ultimately proved decisive as the last two penalties on each
side were all saved by the two goalkeepers Vytautas -ierniauskas and
Danil Ustimenko, respectively.
Atl|?tic Club d'Escaldes (AND) v FC VADUZ (LIE)* 0-2 (0-1), 0-6 on aggregate (Djoki-c 9', Simani 73')
Swiss forward Dejan Djoki-c was forgotten by the Andorran defence at the
far post and he had plenty of time and space to push Dominik Schwizer's
cross past Atl|?tic's Colombian keeper Pacho. Denis Simani's header
from Schwizer's corner kick was parried by Pacho, but Simani stabbed
home the rebound.
FC INTER TURKU (FIN) v -#stanbul Ba+fak+fehir FK (TUR)* 2-0 (1-0), 3-1 on aggregate
(Tuominen 18', Jephta 47'; Red Card: Laine (Int) 88')
There were a couple of early chances for the Turkish favourites, but it
was Inter who scored a lovely opener when Jasse Tuominen met Janne-Pekka Laine's ball into the box with a well-placed header into the far corner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536458/191662-Record_2026_07_30_18_18_46_729.mp4
One minute after the re-start Inter's African contingent combined for
their second - a through ball by Ghanaian midfielder Bismark Ampofo
found Loic Essomba free on the left flank, the low cross by the
Cameroonian winger was missed by Sierra Leonean striker Alie Conteh but collected at the far side by Clinton Jephta, and the Nigerian cut inside
to beat Ba+fak+fehir keeper Muhammed +Rengezer at his near post:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536458/191685-Record_2026_07_30_19_07_31_362.mp4
Two minutes from time Laine saw a second yellow for a lunging tackle on Uzbekistan international Abbosbek Fayzullaev, but that happened too late
to change anything.
A fully deserved win. Before this season, Inter Turku had never made it
through a single knock-out round in Europe (one Intertoto excepted); now they've already survived two, and against good opposition like Sarajevo
and Ba+fak+fehir. Their next opponent will be Vaduz.
Turkey on the other hand are the highest-placed nation in the UEFA
ranking to have already lost a team.
FK AUDA (LAT) v FC FCSB (ROM)* 4-1 (1-0), 7-3 on aggregate
(Diedhiou 45'+2, 67', Kone 84', Hrvoj 90'+3; Jo|uo Paulo 59')
Another big surprise. The Latvian cup winners suffered a bit in the
first half, with their keeper Nils Puri+a+i bailing them out several
times, but they took the lead just before the break when Eduards
Da+i-+evi-is sent in a perfect cross that Senegalese forward Barth|-lemy Diedhiou volleyed home at the far post:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536459/191678-Record_2026_07_30_18_47_33_475.mp4
Jo|uo Paulo, who had played in two matches for Cabo Verde at the World
Cup, scored the equaliser by heading in Octavian Popescu's corner kick:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536459/191700-Record_2026_07_30_19_19_42_168.mp4
Not-Steaua were only one goal away from extra time at this point, but
they gifted away another as Jo|uo Paulo failed to collect a harmless pass
from his goalkeeper Stefan T|ornovanu and it was intercepted by Diedhiou
who ran into the box unchallenged and fired into the far corner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536459/191711-Record_2026_07_30_19_28_46_319.mp4
Six minutes from the end young Ivorian striker Kader Kone beat T|ornovanu
with a shot from twenty metres:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536459/191722-Record_2026_07_30_19_45_13_622.mp4
and in stoppage time Auda's Croatian right-back Tin Hrvoj even scored a
fourth with a lovely direct free-kick:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536459/191726-Record_2026_07_30_19_54_32_102.mp4
I wouldn't be surprised if heads were soon rolling in Bucharest, that's
not the kind of result a guy like Gigi Becali usually takes lightly.
FC Pyunik (ARM)* v DEBRECENI VSC (HUN) 0-0 (0-0), 0-1 on aggregate
A couple of dangerous shots by Pyunik were kept out by Debrecen's new
Bulgarian keeper Plamen Andreev as the Hungarians held on to the
scoreless draw that would see them through.
BTW if you remember him, at age 39 Balazs 'The Dude' Dzsudzs|ik is still orchestrating Debrecen's midfield.
FK JABLONEC (CZE)* v NK Vara++din (CRO) 2-0 (1-0), 4-3 on aggregate
(Pun-iec 29' (og), Pavlovi-c 54')
Ji+O|! Sl|ima's free-kick came off the crossbar, and despite long-time
former Union Berlin centre-back (back when they were still in 2.

deflected the rebound into his own net:

Another set-piece delivered by Sl|ima gave Jablonec the winning goal, his corner kick was flicked on by Gambian forward Lamin Jawo, and Serbian centre-back Du+ian Pavlovi-c stuck out a leg to steer the ball in:

In the very last minute of stoppage time Vara++din's Slovenian substitute Gregor Siko+iek for a moment appeared to have scored the aggregate
equaliser with a header at the far post, but even without VAR help the
goal was correctly disallowed for offside.
N||mme Kalju FC (EST)* v SHELBOURNE FC (IRL) 2-1 (0-1), 4-6 on aggregate
(Esono 49', Jabir 75'; Kelly 14'; Red Card: Musolitin (Kal) 31')
The Estonians needed to make up a three-goal first-leg deficit, but
their keeper Henri Perk spilled a harmless long-distance shot by former Scottish youth international Kerr McInroy and Daniel Kelly tapped in the rebound:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536462/191660-Record_2026_07_30_18_14_57_722.mp4
Young Ukrainian Mykola Musolitin then saw a harsh red card as he
collided with Evan Caffrey when both had their legs raised:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536462/191667-Record_2026_07_30_18_33_08_177.mp4
but ten Estonians at least got the coefficient points for the win -
first Shelbourne centre-back Kameron Ledwidge misjudged a long ball and Equatoguinean forward Enrique Esono side-stepped a challenge by Odhr|in
Casey to push the ball past Shelbourne's Welsh keeper Eddie Beach:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536462/191691-Record_2026_07_30_19_09_30_555.mp4
and later the young Ghanaian substitute Ibrahim Jabir rose highest to
head in Nikita Ivanov's corner kick.
FC NOAH (ARM)* v FC Zimbru Chi+Oin-au (MDA) 2-1 (1-0), 3-2 on aggregate (Manvelyan 31', Sangar|- 47'; Jonathas 76')
Gor Manvelyan, one of the few Armenians in Noah's squad, slotted in the
opener following good footwork by former Croatian youth international
Marin Jakoli+i:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536463/191669-Record_2026_07_30_18_32_18_838.mp4
Burkinab|- international Gustavo Sangar|- released his Spanish teammate
Mario Gonz|ilez into the box and the former LAFC winger rounded Zimbru's Ukrainian keeper Artem Odyntsov to provide the cut-back cross that
Sangar|- tapped into the empty net:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536463/191683-Record_2026_07_30_19_04_05_908.mp4
Zimbru pulled one back through young Brazilian forward Jonathas who ran
onto +ytefan B|<tca's through ball and beat Dani Figueira at his near
post:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536463/191716-Record_2026_07_30_19_32_41_383.mp4
In the last minute of stoppage time Noah's Portuguese keeper parried
Matteo Amoroso's effort to secure their progression to the next round.
TAMPEREEN ILVES (FIN)* v UF Stjarnan (ISL) 2-1 aet (1-0, 1-0), 2-2 on aggregate, Ilves win 5-4 on penalties
(Kilo 52', Miettunen 114'; B. Hauksson 108')
Both sides could have taken the lead in the first half but a header by right-back Oliver Pettersson came off the crossbar for the Finns while
Ilves's Bosnian keeper Faris Krkali-c did well to push out J||hann |Urni Gunnarsson's fierce volley. Ilves made up the first-leg deficit when HSV-trained youngster Jesse Kilo collected a ball at the edge of the
area and beat the motionless Stjarnan keeper |Urni Sn|ar |olafsson with a
shot at his near post. In extra time the Icelanders scored what they
probably thought could have been the winner when Dan|!el Finns
Matth|!asson broke through on the left wing, his cut-back was met nicely
by Bjarki Hauksson, and the shot came off the crossbar to hit the back
of Krkali-c and go in:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536464/191741-Record_2026_07_30_20_15_47_856.mp4
Usually UEFA assign these as own goals to the keeper, not sure why they
didn't this time around. Ilves captain Tatu Miettunen came to the rescue
for the Finns six minutes later by heading in Matias Rale's cross from
close range:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536464/191750-Record_2026_07_30_20_21_49_893.mp4
In the shoot-out only the very first penalty was missed, a poorly struck
effort by Andri R||nar Bjarnason that Krkali-c easily kept out.
Zir+O FK (AZE) v PAIDE LINNAMEESKOND (EST)* 1-1 (1-0), 1-2 on aggregate
(Ayd-#n 5'; Anier 71')
The Azeri only needed five minutes to make up the first-leg deficit as
Paide's Gambian keeper Ebrima Jarju did well to keep out Eren Ayd-#n's
header but was helpless against the rebound. But despite Zir+O's
overwhelming dominance in possession they created little, and in the
second half they even conceded the decisive goal when two of Paide's substitutes combined - 35-year-old Henrik Ojamaa, who has played
literally everywhere in Europe during his career, found same-aged Henri
Anier in the box and he slotted the ball past Zir+O keeer Ayd-#n Bayramov:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536465/191710-Record_2026_07_30_19_28_58_511.mp4
For once it was the old Estonians and not the young Gambians who proved
crucial for Paide.
FCI Levadia Tallinn (EST)* v IFK G|uTEBORG (SWE) 1-3 aet (0-0, 0-1), 3-4
on aggregate
(Skvortsov 120'+1; Bergmark Wiberg 57', 93', Alioum 103')
A wild match in which IFK missed not one but two penalties, both just
before the end of each half-time. The first one was given thanks to a ridiculous dive by Adam Bergmark Wiberg, but justice was served as
Norwegian winger Tobias Heintz's spot kick was easily saved by Levadia
keeper Karl Vallner. On the other hand there were like three fouls
rolled into one when the Swedes were awarded their second penalty two
minutes from the end, but this time it was Sam Larsson who saw himself
denied from the spot by Vallner. Thankfully for IFK, they did manage to
score a regular goal in between when Bergmark Wiberg ran onto Noah
Tolf's perfectly weighted long ball from the back and lobbed Vallner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536466/191724-Record_2026_07_30_19_47_45_355.mp4
In extra time Bl|Nvitt didn't take long to score - Vallner once more
managed to save against Canadian-Brazilian substitute Tiago Coimbra, but Bergmark Wiberg was on hand to bury the rebound:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536466/191756-Record_2026_07_30_20_33_17_314.mp4
The Cameroonian substitute Saidou Alioum made it three from Larsson's
through ball:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536466/191774-Record_2026_07_30_20_43_32_405.mp4
and 18-year-old Maksimilian Skvortsov's goal from a goalmouth scramble
after a corner kick came too late for the Estonians:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536466/191791-Record_2026_07_30_21_05_59_268.mp4
A good start for former rock-solid Swedish defender Joachim Bj||rklund on
the IFK bench. His predecessor Stefan Billborn had been sacked after the
first leg.
FC NORDSJ|aLLAND (DEN)* v GAIS (SWE) 6-0 (3-0), 6-1 on aggregate
(Norheim 11', 59', Berthelsen 14', Boe 37', Amoako 63', R|+jkj|ar 81')
So IFK survived, everything's fine... OK, so maybe Anders's misgivings
weren't entirely unfounded.
GAIS's collapse began already early on as young Norwegian Runar Norheim volleyed in Villum Berthelsen's centre at the far post:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536469/191704-Record_2026_07_30_19_19_20_908.mp4
and Berthelsen soon afterwards got one himself when his shot was
deflected by Oskar |agren and curved over GAIS keeper Mergim Krasniqi:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536469/191703-Record_2026_07_30_19_22_12_757.mp4
Among a ton of other goal opportunities another fine curled effort by Berthelsen went off the far post, but 18-year-old Hjalte Boe was on hand
to head in the rebound and celebrate acrobatically:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536469/191720-Record_2026_07_30_19_40_01_660.mp4
After the break Norheim got his second of the evening by tapping in
Nicklas R|+jkj|ar's cross despite Matteo de Brienne flopping on the goal
line like a, well, Mackerel:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536469/191749-Record_2026_07_30_20_17_22_197.mp4
Youngster Prince Amoako, newly a Ghana international, made it five when Krasniqi let his shot from distance trickle over the goal line:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536469/191752-Record_2026_07_30_20_21_02_277.mp4
and R|+jkj|ar finished the rout by tapping in the rebound after Krasniqi
had spilled yet another shot, this one by Egyptian substitute Ibrahim
Adel who had played one minute for them at the World Cup:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536469/191769-Record_2026_07_30_20_38_55_165.mp4
SK BRANN (NOR)* v FC Universitatea Cluj (ROM) 3-1 (2-1), 5-3 on aggregate (Castro 8', 75', Mathisen 45'; Luki-c 26')
Norwegian-Chilean winger Niklas Castro gave Brann the early lead by
meeting a cross from young Belgian right-back Denzel De Roeve with a
great back-heel:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536470/191689-Record_2026_07_30_19_08_39_782.mp4
At the other end Brann keeper Mathias Dyngeland made a great save to
deny Marius +ytef-anescu alone through on goal, but the loose ball fell
for Bosnian striker Jovo Luki-c to volley into the empty net:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536470/191709-Record_2026_07_30_19_26_28_1.mp4
With the tie on the edge the ultimately decisive goal came just before
the break when U Cluj's new Cypriot keeper Neofytos Michail misjudged a
Castro cross, allowing Ulrik Mathisen to head in:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536470/191723-Record_2026_07_30_19_45_22_778.mp4
In the second half man of the match Castro finished off a counter attack
with a shot that Michail let go in over his gloves:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536470/191758-Record_2026_07_30_20_32_41_670.mp4
With the elimination of both U Cluj and FCSB, Romania are the highest-
ranked league to have already lost two teams.
FK ++ALGIRIS (LTU)* v FC Dinamo Tbilisi (GEO) 7-2 (1-1), 7-5 on aggregate (Bilenkyi 25', 82', 90', Petkovi-c 59', 74', Teixeira 61',
Mihajlovi-c 88'; L|-o Santos 40', Vatsadze 72')
Ouch! In the first half the collapse that was about to happen was still
some ways away even though ++algiris were the better team from the start.
The Lithuanians were awarded an early penalty when Paulius
Golubickas in front of a gaping net was pulled back by Aleksandre
Kalandadze - should have been a red card, really, instead of the yellow
dished out - but Serbian forward Nikola Petkovi-c sent his spot kick over
the crossbar. Still, ++algiris managed to open the scoring thanks to a
nice passing move that ended with Ukrainian striker Stanislav Bilenkyi
slotting in Golubickas's feed:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536471/191708-Record_2026_07_30_19_26_11_999.mp4
but during one of their few forays into the Lithuanian half Dinamo got
the equaliser - ++algiris keeper Vincentas +aarkauskas saved against
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's 16-year-old little brother Tornike, but the
Lithuanian defence didn't manage to clear and Brazilian left-back L|-o
Santos sent the loose ball into the bottom corner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536471/191719-Record_2026_07_30_19_40_49_683.mp4
After the break Petkovi-c made amends for his earlier penalty miss by
tapping in a cross by German left-back Dominik Franke:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536471/191738-Record_2026_07_30_20_16_27_805.mp4
and just two minutes later former Sturm Graz flop Bryan Teixeira made it
three by collecting the rebound and volleying in after Dinamo keeper
Giorgi Loria had done well to deny Petkovi-c from close range:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536471/191744-Record_2026_07_30_20_18_46_172.mp4
Eighteen minutes from the end the substitute Mate Vadsadze restored
Dinamo's two-goal aggregate lead with a perfectly placed shot from
distance into the far corner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536471/191764-Record_2026_07_30_20_29_31_981.mp4
and one might have thought that this would be enough for the Georgians
to go through, but just two minutes later Petkovi-c tapped into the empty
net after the unlucky Loria had parried a header by Deividas +ae+iplaukis:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536471/191766-Record_2026_07_30_20_30_58_275.mp4
++algiris finally levelled the aggregate score when the panicking
Georgian defence couldn't clear Petkovi-c's blocked shot, and Bilenkyi
turned on a sixpence to fire past Loria:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536471/191771-Record_2026_07_30_20_39_29_873.mp4
And even reaching extra time was denied to the former winners of the Cup Winners' Cup as Nemanja Mihajlovi-c a mere couple of minutes after having
come on as a substitute raced clear on the left wing and beat Loria
with a curler into the near top corner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536471/191777-Record_2026_07_30_20_46_14_191.mp4
Bilenkyi then completed his hat trick when he liberated himself from two Georgian defenders and unleashed a brilliant strike in underneath the
crossbar:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536471/191778-Record_2026_07_30_20_47_59_268.mp4
One's gotta love these early qualification rounds.
So in the last six years Dinamo Tbilisi got eliminated by K|i (losing 1-6
in a Covid single-leg fixture), Neft|oi, Maccabi Haifa (lost 1-5 away),
Paide Linnameeskond (on penalties), Astana, -aamrun Spartans, Mornar Bar
from Montenegro, and now this. As former European trophy winners go,
that's just an awful record.
FK Vele++ Mostar (BIH)* v FC DAC 1904 (SLK) 0-3 (0-2), 0-4 on aggregate (Ramadan 22', 38', Gueye 90'+2)
An easy win away for the team from Dunajsk|i Streda/Dunaszerdahely. A
brace by Syria international Ammar Ramadan gave them a two-goal lead
already in the first half - he volleyed in a cross by Serbian winger
Uro+i Kabi-c with a little help from Vele++ keeper Faris Ribi-c:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536472/191705-Record_2026_07_30_19_24_58_582.mp4
and he also slotted in a cut-back centre from Norwegian left-back Simen Jukler|+d, newly signed by DAC from Sint-Truiden:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536472/191718-Record_2026_07_30_19_41_22_569.mp4
In stoppage time young Senegalese forward Abdoulaye Gueye got the third
from Matej Trusa's feed, with Ribi-c again getting a hand to the shot but
not keeping it out:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536472/191779-Record_2026_07_30_20_52_49_847.mp4
HB (FAR)* v MOTHERWELL FC (SCO) 0-3 (0-2), 0-5 on aggregate
(Fadinger 25' (pen), Charles-Cook 37', Williams 50')
Austrian midfielder Lukas Fadinger scored from the spot after Brazil-
born Swiss winger Willy Vogt, newly signed by Motherwell from Bellinzona
in the 2nd Swiss tier, had been pushed down in the box by |Usi Dam.
Grenadan international Regan Charles-Cook made it two from a solo run
down the left wing before beating HB keeper Bjarti M|+rk from close range
at the near post:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536473/191811-Record_2026_07_30_21_24_06_845.mp4
Young English left-back Dylan Williams, also a new signing from Burton
Albion in League One, got Motherwell's third when he beat M|+rk with an
angled shot:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536473/191816-Record_2026_07_30_21_25_37_763.mp4
FC DINAMO MINSK (BLR)* v Neft|oi PFK (AZE) 0-1 (0-1), 4-3 on aggregate
(Almeida 12'; Red Card: Sacko (Nef) 90'+3)
In Stara Zagora in Bulgaria Neft|oi soon halved their first-leg deficit
as a careless clearance by the Belarusian defence ended up in front of
their own box and Brazilian midfielder Breno Almeida latched on to the
loose ball and fired past Dinamo's young keeper Ivan Shimakovich. But
the Azeri hardly created any chances after that, and while they were
still chasing the one goal that would have levelled the aggregate tie,
deep in stoppage time Falaye Sacko lost the ball as last man under a
challenge from Dinamo's Nigerian Fawaz Abdullahi (could have been
whistled as a foul to be honest), and Neft|oi's Malian right-back grabbed
the loose ball with both arms to bury it underneath him.
It's been a pretty bad European week for Azerbaijan - Zir+O and Neft|oi
got eliminated while Qaraba-f dropped down to Conference League
qualifiers. At least Sabah secured a European league stage.
Derry City FC (IRL) v HNK RIJEKA (CRO)* 0-1 (0-1), 0-2 on aggregate
(Adu-Adjei 14')
Pretty minimalistic from Rijeka in the return leg as well, but an early
goal by Daniel Adu-Adjei was enough as the Englishman took advantage of
a poor back pass by Cameron Dummigan to race clear and slot past Derry
keeper Brian Maher.
Valletta FC (MLT) v RKS RAK|oW CZ-ySTOCHOWA (POL)* 0-4 (0-2), 1-7 on aggregate (Ameyaw 22', Pie+ako 31', Moln|ir 54', Makuch 78';
Red Card: Sekulovi-c (Val) 60')
Following their scare in the home leg, Rak||w quickly took care of
business on Malta. A through ball by new Hungarian signing |Udin Moln|ir
found Michael Ameyaw in the box, and the Poland international with
Ghanaian roots slotted past Valletta's Brazilian keeper Adilson Maring|i. Tomasz Pie+ako made it two after Adilson Maring|i had spilled Moln|ir's
shot:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/pl/football/2026/536477/191728-rakow2.mp4
and the Hungarian scored the third himself after Adilson Maring|i had
kept out his initial effort:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/pl/football/2026/536477/191820-rakow3.mp4 Valletta's Montenegrin midfielder Petar Sekulovi-c then got sent off
with a second yellow for breaking up a counter-attack by clattering into Pie+ako, and against ten men Patryk Makuch scored the fourth by
surprising Adilson Maring|i with a shot from a very tight angle:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/pl/football/2026/536477/191821-rakow4.mp4
All four Maltese teams have been eliminated. One win, two draws and
seven defeats is just marginally better than Wales who went 1-1-8.
BEITAR JERUSALEM FC (ISR) v AEK Larnaca FC (CYP)* 2-3 aet (1-1, 2-3),
3-3 on aggregate, Beitar win 4-3 on penalties
(Atzili 45'+2 (pen), 87'; Mili-ievi-c 26' (pen), 53', Baji-c 90'+2)
In a back-and-forth game in Ploie+Oti in Romania an early free-kick by
Omer Atzili went off the outside of the post before AEK were awarded a
penalty when on occasion of a corner kick Cameroonian midfielder Boris
Enow blocked Hrvoije Mili-ievi-c's header with his arm, and Larnaca's
Bosnian centre-back converted from the spot himself. AEK keeper Andreas Paraskevas then pulled off a great save to deny former Austrian
Bundesliga top scorer Shon Weissman from close range:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536478/191734-Record_2026_07_30_20_11_40_878.mp4
but Beitar still managed to score before the break - a careless back
pass allowed Atzili to steal in from behind just before Mili-ievi-c was
able to kick the ball away, which resulted in one of those 'didn't see
him coming'-penalties, despatched by Atzili himself. In the second half Mili-ievi-c once more levelled the aggregate score with a direct free-kick
from twenty metres that went through the Beitar wall. Three minutes from
time a brilliant strike by Atzili from twenty-five metres out looked
like giving the Israeli the aggregate win, but in stoppage time Beitar's Portuguese keeper Miguel Silva spilled -Eor-ae Ivanovi-c's harmless-looking long-distance drive, and AEK's Bosnian striker Riad Baji-c pounced to
send the tie to extra time:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536478/191817-Record_2026_07_30_21_21_43_702.mp4
In extra time Beitar captain Yarden Shua one metre in front of the empty
net kicked fresh air instead of connecting with Ziv Ben Shimol's cross,
and so the tie went to penalties in which Miguel Silva did very well to
save against both the Spanish substitute Waldo Rubio and veteran Champos Kyriakou.
IF Vestri (ISL) v FK RFS (LAT)* 1-1 (1-1), 2-5 on aggregate
(Haf|+||rsson 12'; Sylla 16')
The Icelandic 2nd-division cup winners took the lead when a shot by
former Swedish youth international Johannes Selv|-n cannoned off the near
post, pinballed around in the area and |R||r|#ur Gunnar Haf|+||rsson pushed
it over the line:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536479/191733-Record_2026_07_30_20_11_48_986.mp4
The Latvians soon equalised through young Ivorian winger Mamadou Sylla
who fired in a feed by Serbian midfielder Stefan Pani-c:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536479/191737-Record_2026_07_30_20_15_58_376.mp4
RFS had the better chances after that, but Vestri held on to end their
maiden European campaign on a somewhat positive note.
KF SHK|iNDIJA (MKD)* v NK Bravo (SLO) 3-1 (1-1), 4-3 on aggregate
(Jovan 36' (og), Kryeziu 50', ||or||ievski 88'; Stankovi-c 17')
Jakoslav Stankovi-c gave the Slovenians an early two-goal aggregate lead
when he collected a back-heel by young Nigerian James Arinze, signed by
Bravo from FC Midtjylland's youth set-up, and cut inside to beat
Shk|2ndija keeper Astrit Amzai with a powerful shot into the top corner.
The North Macedonians pumped cross after cross into the Slovenian box,
and they got the equaliser when Ga+iper Jovan finally deflected a centre
by Drilon Islami past his own keeper Matja++ Rozman. Shk|2ndija scored the aggregate equaliser shortly after the break through Almir Kryeziu who
met yet another cross by Senegalese winger Fabrice Tamba with a
powerful header. Another header by Shk|2ndija's Gabonese striker Fahd
Ndzengue then went off the outside the post, and a shot from distance by
Marko ||or||ievski, back in North Macedonia following a stint in the
Romanian SuperLiga with FC Hermannstadt, bounced off the crossbar. The Slovenians therefore were able to hold on to the result until two
minutes from time when Albanian right-back Aleksand|2r Trum|oi volleyed
Endrit Krasniqi's long free-kick back across goal, and ||or||ievski nodded
in from close range.
AFC AJAX (NED)* v FK Vojvodina (SRB) 4-1 (1-1), 8-2 on aggregate
(Klaassen 44', Gloukh 53', 58', 71'; Crnomarkovi-c 40')
Ajax dominated from the start and Mika Godts hit the post for them, but
it was the Serbians who took the lead when from their first corner kick
of the game centre-back -Eor-ae Crnomarkovi-c volleyed in Lazar
Ran-aelovi-c's delivery. The Dutch favourites were soon level though as
they scored likewise from a corner kick, Steven Berghuis's delivery was
headed towards goal by Youri Regeer, and Davy Klaassen knocked the ball
in from close range. In the second half former Salzburg midfielder Oscar
Gloukh scored a hat trick, the Israeli first fired in Mika Godts's
cut-back cross:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536481/191845-Record_2026_07_30_21_55_33_459.mp4
then capped off a solo run with a nice shot with the outside of his foot
that curled past Vojvodina keeper Dragan Rosi-c:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536481/191845-Record_2026_07_30_21_55_33_459.mp4
and he also met Oliver Edvardsen's centre with a thumping effort:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536481/191823-Record_2026_07_30_21_34_55_399.mp4
PFC Ludogorets 1945 (BUL)* v HAPOEL TEL AVIV FC (ISR) 2-2 (0-1), 2-4 on aggregate
(Tekpetey 47', Salido 54'; Boateng 16', 58')
Ludogorets's Swedish centre-back Edvin Kurtulus just failed to cut out
Omri Altman's cross, and former Levante striker Emmanuel Boateng found
himself all alone in front of Ludogorets's German keeper Hendrik Bonmann
to give the Israeli a three-goal aggregate lead:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536482/191740-Record_2026_07_30_20_17_39_158.mp4
The dethroned perennial Bulgarian champions were handed a lifeline when Hapoel's Congolese captain Fernand Maymbo threw himself into Son's shot
which went off his elbow, but Swiss forward Kwadwo Duah saw his handball penalty saved by Hapoel keeper Assaf Tzur. After the break former
Schalke prospect Bernard Tekpetey capped off a nice solo run by cutting
inside and sending a well-placed shot into the far corner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536482/191798-Record_2026_07_30_21_14_32_94.mp4
and seven minutes later Ivaylo Chochev's wild tackle actually stole the
ball off Hapoel's Portuguese forward Xande Silva, and the ball fell for
Spanish striker Alberto Salido who slotted past Tzur:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536482/191809-Record_2026_07_30_21_21_26_235.mp4
Extra time was just one goal away at this point, but again only four
minutes later Boateng scored his second of the night by rifling in the
loose ball after the Ludogorets defence hadn't been able to clear away
Roei Alkukin's cross:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536482/191815-Record_2026_07_30_21_25_24_544.mp4
This took the wind out of the Bulgarians' sails and Hapoel could even
have won the match, but Stav Toriel's effort went off the crossbar.
This is the first time since 2015-16 and only the third time in their
European history that Ludogorets fail to reach a group/league stage.
KF Ballkani (KOS)* v BOHEMIAN FC (IRL) 3-2 aet (1-1, 3-2), 4-4 on
aggregate, Bohemians win 5-4 on penalties
(Serebe 10', Giovanni 51', Domgjoni 58'; James-Taylor 20' (pen),
Hickey 88')
Excepting a very early scare when a careless back pass led to Adam
McDonnell finding himself alone through on goal but fluffing his shot,
Ballkani had the much better start and they took one of their numerous opportunities when their Ivorian striker Valentin Serebe headed in
Engj|2ll Ajazaj's deflected cross:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536483/191732-Record_2026_07_30_20_10_05_115.mp4
But out of nowhere the Irish were level - a long ball by Jordan Flores
cut through the Kosovar defence, and McDonnell lost his marker only to
be floored by Ballkani's Slovenian keeper Adnan Golubovi-c. English
forward Douglas James-Taylor made no mistake from the spot. Both sides subsequently had big chances to score, and the Kosovars retook the lead
when Serebe dribbled along the by-line and centred for the Brazilian
Giovanni, formerly an Ajax prospect, who volleyed in from close range:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536483/191792-Record_2026_07_30_21_06_47_625.mp4
Soon afterwards former FC Z|+rich and Vitesse midfielder Toni Domgjoni
gave Ballkani the aggregate lead when he was given too much space to
curl a shot past Bohs' American keeper Paul Walters, on loan from
Cincinnati:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536483/191802-Record_2026_07_30_21_17_44_25.mp4
But the Kosovars faded a bit after that, and perhaps it was the fact
that unlike them the Bohemians are in the middle of their domestic
season that led to the Irish being able to turn on the pressure. Three
minutes from time a header by American centre-back Patrick Hickey went
off the post and bounced off Golubovi-c for the corner kick, and Colm
Whelan's ensuing delivery was once more met by Hickey and this time he
nodded in. The Irish were the more dangerous side in extra time but the
tie still went to a shoot-out where the very first penalty by Bajram
Jashanica which went off the right post was the only miss.
For the second time in their history Bohemians survive two European
rounds. It's going to be a bit more difficult against Ajax though.
FC SION (SUI)* v FC BATE Borisov (BLR) 4-0 (2-0), 5-1 on aggregate
(Boteli 5', Nivokazi 38', Batata 58', Berdayes 68')
An easy win for Sion. Among a plethora of other opportunities a
deflected cross by former Gent winger Franck Surdez was rifled in by
Winsley Boteli for the early opener, Rilind Nivokazi later did the same
from a centre by French-born Maltese international Ilyas Chouaref, and
Sion's Brazilian mainstay Baltazar de Oliveira called Batata made it
three with a dipping shot from thirty metres that surprised BATE keeper
Danila Sokol:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536484/191822-Record_2026_07_30_21_32_18_531.mp4
Sion then got a penalty when Batata was felled in the box by the young substitute Ales Sakhonchik, but Ali Kabacalman's spot kick was saved by
Sokol. No matter though as soon afterwards Th|-o Berdayes dove low to
head in Donat Rrudhani's free-kick. BATE's best chance to score came
twelve minutes from time when a surprising shot from distance by the
Honduran substitute Erick Puerto went off the crossbar.
Bye bye BATE. I wonder when we will see them again in Europe, if ever.
For now the focus is on avoiding relegation.
FC UNA Strassen (LUX) v FK PARTIZAN (SRB)* 0-1 (0-0), 0-5 on aggregate
(Kosti-c 48')
A lovely passing move that involved almost the entire Partizan team
ended with Bogdan Kosti-c slotting in Stefan Petrovi-c's cut-back:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536485/191867-Record_2026_07_30_22_20_19_990.mp4
As written above, all four Luxembourg teams have been eliminated.
FK AUSTRIA WIEN (AUT)* v FK Liep-Uja (LAT) 3-1 (2-1), 5-1 on aggregate (Feddersen 20', Boateng 29', Ranftl 66'; Ha|>dara 4';
Red Card: Martins (Lie) 8')
Liep-Uja took a shock lead when Austria keeper Samuel +Rahin-Radlinger
only awkwardly managed to block Danila Patij-iuks's shot from distance,
the rebound was deflected by Austria's Nigerian centre-back Ibrahim
Buhari, newly signed from Elfsborg, into the path of Amar Ha|>dara, and
the Mauritanian from close range volleyed into the top corner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536486/191762-Record_2026_07_30_20_33_57_439.mp4
The Violets looked quite shaky for the first couple of minutes until
former Austria defender and current Liep-Uja captain Marvin Martins did
his old team a major favour when instead of sending a harmless ball
back to his keeper he kicked into the ground, and then grabbed the ankle
of Austria striker Kelvin Boateng to prevent the Ghanaian from going in
alone on goal:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536486/191772-Record_2026_07_30_20_37_55_426.mp4
If he had known Boateng's conversion rate for one-on-ones he might have re-evaluated his decision is all I'm saying. Against ten Latvians the
young Austria side got their act together, and 19-year-old German
centre-back Jonas Feddersen, brought in from Borussia Dortmund's
amateurs, scored the equaliser with a nice dribble and shot:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536486/191780-Record_2026_07_30_20_49_50_263.mp4
Liep-Uja actually continued to have some opportunities, but it was
Austria who scored, following some nice passing into the box a shot
by U-17 World Cup finalist Vasilije Markovi-c was saved by Liep-Uja's Montenegrin keeper Danijel Petkovi-c, and not even Boateng could miss the rebound into the empty net. After the break veteran Reinhard Ranftl
collected an assist by Austria captain Manfred Fischer, and he beat
Petkovi-c with an angled shot:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536486/191848-Record_2026_07_30_21_56_01_279.mp4
The match died down after that.
GKS KATOWICE (POL)* v M+aK ++ilina (SLK) 3-1 (0-0), 4-3 on aggregate
(Zre-+|ik 48', Wdowiak 79', Shkurin 82'; K||+ia 57')
A Slovakian was Katowice's most dangerous forward - Adam Zre-+|ik hit the
post with a header in the first half, and after the break the former
N|+rnberg striker gave the Silesians the lead by nodding in Bartosz
Nowak's cross:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536487/191824-Record_2026_07_30_21_34_46_982.mp4
Franti+iek K||+ia equalised for ++ilina when his shot from just outside the area wrong-footed Katowice keeper Gabriel Kobylak:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536487/191830-Record_2026_07_30_21_42_41_325.mp4
Eleven minutes from time Katowice levelled the aggregate score through
Mateusz Wdowiak who headed in a Nowak free-kick:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536487/191850-Record_2026_07_30_22_05_34_50.mp4
and just three minutes later they got the winner when Belarusian striker
Ilya Shkurin met Bartosz Wolski's deflected ball over the top with an
acrobatic volley:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536487/191852-Record_2026_07_30_22_08_00_620.mp4
H+aK Zrinjski Mostar (BIH)* v KF VALUR (ISL) 2-2 (1-2), 2-3 on aggregate (Bilbija 11' (pen), +aakota 76'; Haraldsson 44', 45'+2)
An early handball penalty caused by Birkir Heimisson awkwardly jumping
for a header was converted by Zrinjski captain Nemanja Bilbija with a
Panenka, but just before half-time Valur twice in short succession hit
the Herzegovinians on the counter, with Tryggvi Hrafn Haraldsson both
times beating Zrinjski keeper Zvonimir +aubari-c with well-placed shots
into the far corner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536488/191913-Record_2026_07_31_00_40_10_627.mp4
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536488/191912-Record_2026_07_31_00_38_34_755.mp4
In the second half the substitute Matej +aakota, on just two minutes
earlier, fired in a loose ball for the equaliser, and three minutes
from time Zrinjski were awarded another penalty when Karlo Abramovi-c
was tripped by Bjarni Mark Antonsson, but instead of sending the tie to
extra time Bilbija this time around saw his spot kick saved by Valur
keeper Frederik Schram.
After the first legs I had wondered how the three Icelandic teams would
do after their narrow one-goal home wins. In the end, only Valur won
their tie.
PANATHINAIKOS FC (GRE)* v Paksi FC (HUN) 2-2 (1-1), 4-3 on aggregate
(Jagu+ii-c 44', Rastoder 85'; Pet+a 35', Gy+arfi 57')
Mil|in Pet+a met a loose ball in the box with a rocket into the top corner
to give Paks a shock lead:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536489/191790-Record_2026_07_30_21_05_11_932.mp4
Croatian midfielder Adriano Jagu+ii-c got the equaliser for Panathinaikos
when he likewise connected with the loose ball from a blocked shot and
he also targeted the top corner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536489/191797-Record_2026_07_30_21_14_00_258.mp4
Paks went in front again after the break, Kevin H||rvath's cross was
volleyed back across goal by left-back M|iri|| Zeke, might or might not
have brushed the shoulder of Pet+a - no VAR here - and in the end was
stabbed home by 19-year-old Mil|in Gy+arfi:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536489/191834-Record_2026_07_30_21_46_06_624.mp4
Five minutes from time Swiss-North Macedonian substitute Elmin Rastoder,
who had been instrumental in Thun's surprise title last season before
leaving for warmer climes, still secured Pana's progress to the next
round when he volleyed in after Stefan de Vrij, off to Greece after
twelve successful years in Italy, had knocked down a long ball into the
box:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536489/191858-Record_2026_07_30_22_13_45_702.mp4
Full credit to Paks and their all-Hungarian squad though who once more
gave a good account of themselves.
KAA GENT (BEL)* v FC LNZ Cherkasy (UKR) 0-0 aet (0-0, 0-0), 0-0 on
aggregate, Gent win 4-2 on penalties
In a poor match the Ukrainian debutants were close to a major upset,
but after 210 scoreless minutes Yehor Tverdokhlib's penalty was saved
by Gent keeper Davy Roef, and Denys Kuzyk sent his spot kick against
the bar.
FC CFR 1907 CLUJ (ROM)* v FC Alashkert (ARM) 3-0 (2-0), 4-1 on aggregate
(Muhar 3', Korenica 45', Fic-a 77'; Red Card: C|-zar (Ala) 12')
Cluj's new Serbian striker Stefan Dra++i-c, brought in from APOEL, headed
a cross by Portuguese left-back Sim|uo Rocha back across goal, and
Croatian midfielder Karlo Muhar nodded in from close range:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536491/191901-Record_2026_07_30_23_20_39_181.mp4
Cluj's task was further facilitated when Alashkert's Brazilian centre-
back C|-zar got sent off for pulling down Dra++i-c as last man. Against
ten Armenians Andrei Cordea's deflected cross went off the outside of
the post, and just before half-time Meriton Korenica bundled Dra++i-c's
cross into the empty net:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536491/191902-Record_2026_07_30_23_22_23_309.mp4
Among a ton of opportunities, such as a shot from Cordea that once again
came off the outside of the post, Alin Fic-a scored Cluj's third by
tapping into the empty net after Alashkert keeper Arsen Beglaryan had
saved against veteran German-Ghanaian right-back Christopher Braun, for
many years now a fixture in the Romanian Superliga:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536491/191904-Record_2026_07_30_23_23_56_547.mp4
Coleraine FC (NIR) v HJK (FIN)* 0-3 (0-2), 0-8 on aggregate
(Mero 12', Cicale 34', Gu|?ye 53')
Not as completely one-sided as the first leg, but still a comfortable
win for the Finns. 18-year-old Toivo Mero was left with the simplest of finishes into the empty net after Englishman Alfie Cicale had stolen the
ball off the Coleraine defence:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536492/191786-Record_2026_07_30_20_57_08_41.mp4
Cicale scored the second himself from Teemo Pukki's assist, side-
stepping a lukewarm challenge from Dean Jarvis before rolling the ball
past Coleraine's Welsh reserve keeper Lewis Webb:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536492/191807-Record_2026_07_30_21_19_03_391.mp4
Young Senegalese midfielder Mouhamed Gu|?ye made it three after the
break with a low shot from the edge of the D into the corner:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536492/191847-Record_2026_07_30_21_55_23_717.mp4
Finland are the lowest-placed nation in the UEFA ranking to still have
all four starters alive.
FC Koper (SLO) v NS|i (FAR)* 1-3 aet (0-1, 0-2), 3-3 on aggregate, NS|i
win 4-3 on penalties
(N'Diaye 102' (pen); Nols|+e 35', Lindh 70', Przybylski 120'+2)
One of the most dramatic games of this matchday. Koper had already
missed some gilt-edged chances before they were awarded a penalty for a
foul by former Danish youth international Sammy Skytte on Andra++ Ruedl,
but young striker Leo Rimac saw his spot kick saved by NS|i's Swedish-
Israeli keeper Tom Amos. Instead, the Faroese took the lead when Beinir
Nols|+e nodded in from an Arsenal-style corner kick:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536493/191810-Record_2026_07_30_21_20_12_575.mp4
The team from Runav|!k levelled the aggregate score when after a series
of headers in the Slovenian box the ball in the end fell for Danish
winger Marius Lindh, and he side-stepped a challenge by Bangaly Diawara
before pushing the ball past Koper goalkeeper Luka Ba+i. In extra time
the Slovenians were awarded another penalty when Lindh stepped on the
foot of former Atalanta star Josip Ili-ii-c, 38 by now, and former Lorient winger Bassarou N'Diaye scored from the spot. But with the last kick of
the game the Faroese equalised on aggregate once more, a looping cross
by 17-year-old Markus Klein Danielsen was met by Polish-Faroese forward
Micha+e Przybylski, and the ball curved perfectly into the far corner of
the net:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536493/191903-Record_2026_07_30_23_22_57_796.mp4
Petur Knudsen slipped on Stadion Bonifika's terrible pitch when taking
NS|i's first penalty and skied it a kilometre high, but Ili-ii-c of all
people returned the favour with an awful Panenka that Amos barely had
to move to grab it out of the air. Ba+i then also saved against Viljormur Davidsen, but Koper's Spanish right-back |Ulvaro Roncal had to re-take
his penalty for a double touch, and the second time around his effort
was saved by Amos. Koper centre-back Filip Damjanovi-c missed the
decisive penalty with a weak shot that was also easily parried by Amos.
NS|i are giving K|i a run for their money in this year's Faroe Islands
Premier League, so it's good to see them emulate Klaksv|!k's European
exploits as well, especially away from their Atlantic home.
FC DINAMO CITY (ALB)* v NK Aluminij (SLO) 3-0 (2-0), 4-1 on aggregate
(Vila 24', Qefalija 43', Perndreca 77')
The Slovenians had their chances to score, but it was the Albanians who
took the lead when Lorenco Vila slotted in Hekuran Berisha's through
ball:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536495/191814-Record_2026_07_30_21_25_00_738.mp4
and just before the break Klevi Qefalija's shot from distance was
deflected past a helpless Florijan Raduha in the Aluminij net:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536495/191831-Record_2026_07_30_21_43_31_143.mp4
Late on left-back Fabjan Perndreca headed in a corner kick by Basel-
trained former Kaiserslautern defender Naser Aliji.
All three Slovenian non-champions have already been eliminated, I guess
that's a result of getting neither Olimpija Ljubljana nor Maribor into
Europe. It's on Celje alone now, but at least they are already
guaranteed a league stage.
HIBERNIAN FC (SCO)* v KF Malisheva (KOS) 4-1 (3-0), 4-3 on aggregate
(Elding 9', Passlack 15', Lowe 35', Boyle 57'; Bajraktari 83')
Hibs needed just a quarter of an hour to make up the first-leg deficit -
Josh Mulligan had already hit the crossbar with a thundering volley
before young Irish striker Owen Elding fired in from Martin Boyle's
through ball:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536496/191840-Record_2026_07_30_21_49_06_876.mp4
and former Borussia Dortmund prospect Felix Passlack stabbed home the
loose ball after his initial effort had been blocked by his teammate
Nathan Lowe:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536496/191841-Record_2026_07_30_21_49_25_524.mp4
The Scots then hit the crossbar a second time through Boyle, and Lowe
nodded in from close range after Boyle's in-swinging cross had been
headed back across goal by Elding:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536496/191843-Record_2026_07_30_21_50_03_16.mp4
Boyle scored the fourth himself following a mazy run and a shot past
three Kosovar defenders:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536496/191890-Record_2026_07_30_22_56_16_442.mp4
but they were not completely out of the woods yet as 19-year-old Omer Bajraktari got Malisheva back within one when he beat Hibs's Austrian
keeper Raphael Sallinger with a nice shot from twenty metres:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536496/191892-Record_2026_07_30_22_57_04_75.mp4
But despite Malisheva throwing everything forward and some tense moments
there were no more clear-cut chances for the Kosovars.
Hibernian will now continue their tour of the Balkans against North
Macedonian opposition.
SC BRAGA (POR)* v FK ++elezni-iar Pan-ievo (SRB) 4-0 (2-0), 5-0 on aggregate (Horta 27' (pen), Silva 44', V|!ctor 63', Navarro 85')
Unlike in the first leg this was a much easier win for the Portuguese favourites. Much like in the first leg ++elezni-iar keeper Zoran Popovi-c
left his net for a reckless challenge and gave away a penalty when he
punched out both the cross he intended to, and Gabriel Silva. Ricardo
Horta as usual converted calmly from the spot. Silva then made it two
when from Denis Huseinba+ii-c's assist he first-timed a great shot past Popovi-c:
https://media.onlajny.com/media/cs/football/2026/536497/191911-Record_2026_07_31_00_02_05_29.mp4
Popovi-c then stupidly gave away a second penalty when he failed to
control a back pass and trying to recover knocked down Fran Navarro,
and while Ricardo Horta for once didn't convert as Popovi-c made amends
with two good saves against both the initial penalty and the first
rebound, at the third attempt Pau V|!ctor pushed the ball over the line.
Late on Navarro tapped in another rebound after Popovi-c had parried Pau V|!ctor's shot.
