    At MetLife Stadium, NY/NJ:

    France 3-0 Sweden

    45' and 74' Mbapp|-
    53' Barcola

Easy enough win for France. Sweden created some chances in the first
half, but then the French took over and never really looked back.

France to play Paraguay in the eightfinals. And on their particular
duel, the count at this moment is Messi 19, Mbapp|- 18.

    Best regards,

I don't think any World Cup team has been as dominant as France
through its first four matches since probably Brazil 1982. But there
is still a long way to go, with much tougher opponents ahead...

France to play Paraguay in the eightfinals.

...starting from the next round. Either France gets an early goal and
cruises from there on, or the Albiroja will make them sweat, Lens 1998
    style.

Yeah, maybe that'll be the key indeed. If they concede early, the
floodgates might open. If they resist, that should feed their confidence
and they might give a headache to the French.

Hoping for the latter, but kinda expecting the former. Well, we'll see.

I honestly donrCOt believe this to be a viable scenario.
Sweden were pesky and rCyin itrCO for close to 45 minutes
as well, but France just calmly kept doing their thing
and in the end it wasnrCOt even close.

(BTW this is more or less the scenario I envision for
    Spain-Austria as well).

And I didnrCOt even think that Paraguay were that great
at defending - yes they were willing to fight for every
ball and threw themselves into every shot, but they did
actually leave plenty of gaps to theoretically exploit.
Germany didnrCOt have the quality to do so, but France
    have, in bunches.

    Ciao,
    Werner
