    End of first quarter:

    Belgium-Iran 0-0

Good rhythm to this match. Belgium dominating possession, but Iran has
had the best chances, including a nice free kick routine that ended
with a Taremi goal, ruled offside by VAR after a longish check.

It finished 0-0 but don't let the scoreline deceive you, this was a good
game where both sides had chances to score.

I might be behind the times but easily half the offside calls on this tournament
involved body parts other than legs. I previously thought that a sole arm or a butt stiking past the defender does not qualify. Have the rules changed?

Any part of your body with which you can legally score a goal, I believe.

It was indeed a good and interesting game.
Ngoy had played so well, I felt sorry for him with the red card (which
might have been on the harsh side - there was not much of a foul there).
He is quick enough that he might have caught the attacker, and it
seemed Mechele had time and space to intervene.
