    10 minutes in, still 0-0

Havertz with the first chance of the game, but the Elephants are not
    just sitting back.

Unsophisticated prediction: this will end 2-2

This one has a nice ebb and flow to it.
Except for that goddamn hydration break.

    Ciao,

Germany had started to take the upper hand before the break, and of
course CIV takes the lead immediately after the break with Kessie,
after some nice work on the wing by Diomande (whose price tag was
already quite high coming into the tournament)

Germany wishing Gerd Mnller magically pops up in the CIV box.

Germany has a second ball in the back of the net, but called off for a
previous foul by Musiala. The first disallowed goal was a bit more
questionable (Pavlovic charging the goalkeeper). Arsenla would have
    gotten away with it.

It's been all CIV at the beginning of the second half (I mean, Germany
with all the possession, but CIV with all the chances)

JNag's substitutions have the desired effect, with Amiri and Undav
combining for the equalizer. Hydration break now. Let's see if it
    kills the German momentum again.

It did to some extent. Match quieted down, only to turn into an
end-to-end affair in the last few minutes. Adingra had a huge chance
to put CIV ahead, but inexplicably took an extra touch rather than
    shooting first time.

And now Undav makes it 2-1 in injury time.

Germany is through to the R32, but not guaranteed first place yet.
In fact, they could still finish third in the group, but there will be
for sure at least 4 other groups in which the third placed team will
    have less than 6 points.
