The bookmakers seem to be more sure of Canada winning this match
then I am.
Canada lead 1-0 after the first quarter.
History in the making
The good news is the maratime Messi has made it 5-0 for Kanada.-a The
bad news is Kone was badly injured, one of those ugly broken leg
injuries.Dirty team Qatar, down to 9 and should be down to 8 men
6-0 with a hat-trick by Jonathan David, and it could have been even
more. Nonetheless, enough to be the biggest ever Concacaf win in World
Cup history.
Well, 4 points and a very positive goal difference after the first two
games is far more than I hope for. The triumphalist commentators here
kept talking about how we only need a draw against Switzerland to top
the group now; that's as may be, but no point selling the bear's pelt
before killing it (as we francophone Canadians say in our other official language).
The injury to Kon|- looked bad and we will really miss him, though Saliba looked lively as a replacement. And Alphonso is still not ready and may
never be. On the other hand Laryea and Johnston have played very well
at fullback, and Bombito got through a half unscathed and looked
comfortable on the ball.
Only players not to see the field for Canada after two games are the
other two keepers, Davies, Choiniere, Waterman, Jones, and Nelson, I think.
Best regards,
