    65th minute 0-0

Pretty cagey first half, but things are opening up now, with both
teams creating chances in the past couple of minutes.

2-3 minutes of intense end to end action are interrupted by the
hydration break (it's looks rainy and not particularly warm in
    Toronto...)

Probably the right moment to ask: is this the first time that two
teams with only a single vowel in their English name meet in a World
    Cup match?

Madagascar, Bahamas, Chad and Kazakhstan never made it to the WC, so
they can be easily excluded. Also Myanmar, but I don't know if they
    should count.

I don't think Canada or Japan have ever met Ghana or Panama in a WC,
nor have they played each other.

    No luck with Sweden-Greece either.

And Yirenki scores a very probably winner late late into injury time
    (95th minute). Ghana 1-0.

And so it ends. Panama had a late chance to pull one back, but their
goalkeeper who had gone up for a corner could not head the ball with
    enough power towards goal.

Very entertaining second half, to be honest. Both teams understood
that their best chance of qualifying was to get the three points in
this game, which translated into a lot of end to end action.

Looks like they beat Canada and Qatar by one day.

    Ciao,
