    CORRUPTION IN THE EPL!

Arsenal FC - The team that literally uses goalkeeper interference systematically is saved by a VAR decision about goalkeeper interference!

    Did I say CORRUPTION?

    It was a foul.

Interesting how all the rival fans are desperate to see Arsenal
collapse, even if that means another title for 115-violations City.

    Agree, it was a foul.

That is a NOT the issue and you KNOW it.

You KNOW that Arsenal has gotten away with goalkeeper interference mostly
on corners all season. But now suddenly, it is called.

    This is the controversy.

Of which a few should have been called as fouls.

is saved by a VAR decision about goalkeeper interference!

On this occasion VAR got it right.

    Did I say CORRUPTION?

That was a foul on Raya, all day long.

It's when they are not called as fouls that I would have
    the problem.

Not sure how anyone could claim otherwise to be honest.

If you don't call them you might as well not call anything.

Interesting how all the rival fans are desperate to see
    Arsenal collapse,

In fairness, that's what being a rival fan means!

even if that means another title for 115-violations
    City.

At the moment they are only alleged violations!

The word is the judgement is coming after the season ends...
So make that what you will.

Yes, the Arse are very physical at set pieces, and they have
'got away' with quite a bit this season... but that's more down
to referee incompetence than corruption. (IMO of course) The way
I look at it is, if you allow things to happen, they'll happen.

Premier League corners are more like the SuperBowl these days
with all the grabbing and holding, but it's on the referee's
lack of guts to call an infringement. I doubt they are being
paid not to see things, they are just incompetent and lack
    consistency.

Unless of course, the Premier League really do want the Arse to
win the title... as it will be embarrassing for them to have Man
City win the league and then the Premier League have to relegate
'their' newly crowned champions in the summer!

So VAR should continue making wrong decisions
because it has previously made wrong decisions, and
thatrCOs the only way to make it fair?

Would you care to elaborate how we would ever
reach consistently correct decisions that way?

    Ciao,
    Werner
