Btw: For the 26/27 season, should we drop the distinction
between 2-4 and 5? I mean, it's virtually impossible (if
not impossible period) that #5 won't get to the UCL.
The Premier League did not take one of the top two
spots in the UEFA ranking in 2023/24. ItrCOs not a given.
The Premier League has already been confirmed as having five
teams qualify for the Champions League next season.
So it actually is a given!
That extra spot applies to qualification for the 26-27
Champions League, but has been won and is assigned
this season.
We donrCOt know yet whether the 5th-placed team in the Premier League will
get a CL berth next season as well.
For that the PL will have to finish again in the Top 2 in the UEFA ranking, which is admittedly likely, but has so
far happened only two times out of three.
