Top Thrill 2 is down for...something.

HoliWood Nights just happened (although I wasn't there 'cause I got
frozen out by the whole ticketing amesso)

CoasterMania 2024 is about to happen (although I won't be at the
event; I might be in the park)

...and there's not a word about it on rec.roller-coaster.

Is there anyone still here? I've never seen it this quiet.

I think the end of Usenet access through Google Groups may have at last
killed the group. I think the most telling disappearance is Surf Dance ChrisrCOs opening/closing reports, since he was perhaps the very last
reliable poster. Also, I was still getting most of my news about less-talked-about closings from him!

For what itrCOs worth, I am still intermittently checking in. I have never used Google to access Usenet.

That makes two of us, at least!

    Three! ;-)
I do miss the community here!

On a side note, I'm planning to try to get tickets for both HWN and CM next year.! Wish me luck!
How bad was it last year?

Also, I think that the waves of spam helped kill the group. I was going to
say that at least they seem to have died down, but I don't want to jinx it.
You know things have gotten bad when even the spammers and scammers don't bother with usenet any more!
