Seeking Volunteers for Open Roles in the IRTS
We are seeking additional volunteers from the IRTS membership to help
fill two open roles in the society. A new IRTS HF Manager is being
sought to help support and promote amateur radio activity on the HF
bands. We are also seeking candidates for our IARU liaison officer
role. This role serves as the vital bridge between the IRTS and the
International Amateur Radio Union. These are great opportunities for
IRTS members to lend a hand in the running of the society and to help
the membership and wider amateur radio community. If interested in any
of these roles or want to learn more about what's involved, please
contact the IRTS secretary via email to irts_secretary /at/ irts.ie

Opportunity to Represent Ireland in the IARU HF World Championship
The IRTS Contest Manager, Mark EI6JK, is looking for operators to
represent Ireland by operating the Irish HQ station callsign EI0HQ in
the IARU HF World Championship, taking place on the 11th and 12th of
July. The contest runs for 24 hours, and he is looking to fill 12
operating slots. These comprise 6 CW slots and 6 SSB slots. All HF
bands will be used, excluding the WARC bands. This year's event is
particularly special as the World Radiosport Team Championship (WRTC)
is being held in England. Mark EI6JK will be attending as a referee,
while Megan EI5LA will be competing as a contender. Please give it some
thought. It can be difficult to find enough operators, and this is a
great opportunity to be part of Ireland's HQ station team. If you are
interested in taking a slot or would like more information, please
don't hesitate to contact Mark EI6JK via email to contestmanager /at/
