HamSCI: The Future of Ham Radio is Here
    -
The August 2025 issue of QST features a special 14-page section on HamSCI:
The Ham Radio Science Citizen Investigation, a cooperative forum that brings together academic institutions and amateur radio organizations to collect and analyze data, present at conferences, and even propose scientific campaigns. The section begins with the introductory piece "HamSCI: The Future of Ham
Radio is Here," by Nathaniel A. Frissell, W2NAF, and goes on to showcase

The Right Club is the Key

If you're a new ham, the best place to start exploring everything ham radio

    The 7300-Extender
    -
The popular Icom IC-7300 offers a wide range of functions at a reasonable price, but Gunnar Wieking, DL5BO, found that he missed having direct access
to some of the functions that are available via second-level menus. As a result, he developed an Arduino-based project, the 7300-Extender, that
provided the convenience he was looking for, as well as functions such as the automatic switching of filters and antenna switches.
