Hello to All My Amateur Radio Friends in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and
Missouri!
Mark this important date on your calendars! October 10, and 11, 2025.
Why is this date important? This is the 2025 ARRL Midwest Division
Convention, known as SPARK-CON which will be held at the Missouri State Fairgrounds at Sedalia, Missouri. Check out the website at
https://spark-con.org.
This isn t just another Hamfest. This is your Convention! This is
about you and all the Amateur Radio Organizations in the Midwest! To
that end, I want to bring an opportunity to your attention. Among the
various tables being reserved at the convention, the Lead Team for the convention has created a special class of tables which will be included
on the convention floor. Club Tables!
Different from the tables for vendors and sellers, a Club Table will be
for the various Amateur Radio Clubs and Organizations from the Midwest
Division to display and promote their club or organization. Put your
best foot forward and tell everyone at the convention what makes your
club special. Display and tell the story about the projects and
activities your club or organization is doing for your members and your community. We believe that everyone at your convention should know!
Share your ideas, and perhaps learn some ideas from other
organizations!
Here s where the good news gets even better Club Table reservations are
being offered for only $10.00 Dollars! That s only half the price of
what it would cost for a seller s table! For $10.00, you have the
opportunity to promote your club or organization, and perhaps make your
club famous!
There is only one caveat: While you can conduct club business such as recruiting members or collecting dues, etc. you cannot sell items or
wares from your club table. For that, you would need a sellers table
for $20.00.
To reserve a table for your club or organization, go to
https://spark-con.org/Purchase2.htm If you believe you need more than
one table, simply order an additional table. While your there, feel
free to explore the rest of the website. Additions and updates will be
added as time goes by!
What are some ideas to help make your table stand out? Here are a few:
* Cover Your Table with an inexpensive, brightly colored table cloth.
* Display a Club/Organization Banner across the front of the table or on
the backdrop behind the table.
* Create a stand up, cardboard display about your organization.
* Have a binder containing photos of
your club activities, or if you
have a computer, display a PowerPoint or slide presentation about your
club. (Be aware that there is an additional cost for electricity at your table.)
*Importantly, have one or two friendly people at your table to greet
visitors and answer questions about your organization.
These are just a few suggestions as I m sure there are many more
ideas!
Think this over Discuss this offer with your members I m sure
you ll agree, this is an opportunity!
