If we're accepting this definition of "herb":
"a plant or plant part valued for its medicinal, savory, or aromatic qualities" then:

We are no longer hunters and nomads. No longer awed and frightened, as we have gained some understanding of the world in which we live. As such, we can cast aside childish remnants from the dawn of our civilization.

Yes. We don't even need the "[or] savory or aromatic" part of the definition.

    Google Gemini prattles:
Rose oil is a luxurious natural extract primarily used in skincare, [etc.]
It deeply hydrates dry or mature skin, soothes inflammation, and helps
    reduce anxiety and stress.
... Packed with antioxidants, rose oil helps rejuvenate the skin,
improve elasticity, and reduce the appearance of fine lines.
It is also antibacterial and helps soothe redness or acne-prone skin.

There is a bottle of rose oil lotion within reach atop the very
same desk where I type these words.
