    Hi.

Is there any site that is reasonably reliable in detecting AI for free
in uploaded images or image urls?

This one looks nice, but I've tested it and it failed right away, so it
    seems a crap site.

May I ask how you came to the conclusion that this site is "crap"?

It seems to work just fine for me.

In fact, I'd like to thank you for the introduction! EfOe

The first image I tested it on that I know is not an AI image, it
told me with high confidence that it is an AI image:

    https://i.imgur.com/zAnAF6T.png

It's actually an artwork by Joanna Pousette-Dart.

    https://www.lissongallery.com/news/joanna-pousette-dart-at-lisson-gallery-in-east-hampton

I'm looking for an AI detection tool that will only claim images to be
AI generated if they actually are AI generated.

I'm in the UK, so cannot see that image!

This is a good upload site:- https://imgbb.com

It's actually an artwork by Joanna Pousette-Dart.

    https://www.lissongallery.com/news/joanna-pousette-dart-at-lisson- gallery-in-east-hampton

Thanks. I wasn't previously familiar with Joanna.

The one you showed does, quite clearly, say that it's in BETA
Maybe the finished article will be more reliable.
    Time will tell.

That's strange.. imgur is a frequently used site for image hosting.
I think the reddit discussion site also frequently links to it.

Did those crazy politicians in the UK ban reddit as well?

This is a good upload site:- https://imgbb.com

Yeah, I know it, but I dislike it, because it doesn't allow uploading
images from an url, like imgur. It's a hassle if you have to first
download images just to upload them to share a link.

Yeah... AI keeps developing as well.

Agreed. It's a bit like malware and AV software!
