• Odd Smokey behavior

Wow, it's dead in here, just Jill and I. :-)
Smokey always wants a hug when I feed her in the morning before she eats. I'd say this is gratitude, but Smokey is all about Smokey. She doesn't suck up for food, she just screams at me. She screams for everything, hugs, her bath, food, the elevator, etc.
Smokey lives upstairs now, cuz she's too old, fluffy and stiff. Although she did go downstairs a few days a couple of weeks ago. I think she thought she was missing out, because I spent more time away from my desk. Smokey doesn't do stairs anymore, so she screams for the elevator (me) when she wants to go upstairs or get into bed. Although the old suck can get into bed by herself. I bought her some of those pet stairs for the bed, but she says she doesn't do stairs.
I'm sure she won't be happy when I return to work after COVID. I recently heard that we aren't going back until there is a vaccine.

I pop in at least once a week. Usually find myself talking to myself ;)
Not really, Judith is still checking in and occasionally cshenk and a
    few others.

Smokey screams for a hug? Buffy meows, rather than screams, but it's definitely related to "wake up and give me some food!" :)

So you're saying you're her total cat slave. ;)

COVID certainly is making a mess of things right now. IMHO it could be
quite a long time before there is a vaccine. This virus is completely unknown. The symptoms are widely varied and it's unpredictable. I keep thinking about Stephen King's 'The Stand' with a shifting-antigen flu...
    scary stuff!

I forget, how old is Smokey? I hope she's not in pain. Does she eat
well? Use the box just fine? Or is she being an elderly diva? ;)

Poor Smokey, although she has you well trained. :) I know how she feels
about the stairs, some nights I wish someone would pick me up and carry me upstairs or I had an elevator. :)

I've only just realised I hadn't been here for a week. I would have said a
few days. I must have been enjoying myself or something like that.
