Here's the project that took up the last week that I mentioned. I need
to get some stuff out of my third spot in the garage so I can more
easily get the Jeep inside, so I decided to finally get an outdoor shed.
I'm letting the Amish build the shed, but I decided to do the base
platform myself because of the difficult location I had to place it.
Made it out of treated 4x4's that I laced on all the corners. 8" 80D
spikes in every row. It a 13' x 9' platform and the long walls each
have 5 spots of 1/2" rebar from the top to a little over 1' in the
ground, and the short walls have 3. I placed 5 deadmen inside and used
1/2' threaded rod to pull the outsides tight to keep it from any chance
of bowing. Drilling those holes at just over 3' was quite a job. But
they worked and as you can see from the pic the long wall never budged.
Glad it's done. Now I just gotta go talk to them and see if they can
place it on the slope or if I need to do it myself.
