• Going back to the Kettle

Got a good site back at the Kettle Moraine State Park Northern District
for the end of September. Looking forward to trying fishing at this
place this time. I already have the license so I'm set. I love this
area and will also do two days of hiking. Pleased to get a good site.

Also booked a stay at Buck Creek State Park in Ohio, but just for one
day. My mom's sister is visiting here and I'm taking her back home.
It's only 318 miles one way, and I have done this round trip before, but
I have decided it's getting too much for me. Yeah, I can do it, but
then the next day would be junk anyway. I wanted to check this place
out anyway, so I'll spend a night there and see if I like it for future use.

Heading up to Wisconsin along the Mississippi next week. I'm ready, but
I hope this ridiculous heat eases up by then!

Here in eastern Nebraska we've had heat advisories as often as not
the past couple of weeks. Generally temps in the 90s, often at
the top end (or over) with high-ish humidity. Heat indexes well
over 110 F. Even in the 80s yesterday morning I was completed
    drenched from mowing the lawn.

Looks like western Nebraska will be over 100 on Sunday when we're
at Fort Robinson. On the other hand, forecasts are for the Snowy
Range to be much milder when we're there the next few days--as I'd
    hoped for.

Two days ago it was 80F at 7 AM and the humidity was 90%. All the
windows in the house were fogged up and you couldn't see out. Didn't do
much that day. Yesterday it finally cooled down and I took down a tree
limb and worked on the pad I'm making for a shed. Warmer today, but not
as bad as it's been and I'll be digging and placing boards.

I had tried to find a spot at High Cliff State Park up by Appleton in
the tip of the Lake Winnebago, but they were booked. That area got
hammered with tornadoes couple days ago. Would have been hell camping
in there if it was bad there.

Gonna be warmer in Wisconsin next week, but not as bad as last week, hopefully.

Ah yes, those were the good old days when late night tv was actually
funny. These jerks on now have destroyed it completely as far as I'm concerned.
