Wisconsin really does stick it to people. I would say the two
campgrounds were very similar. Both were nice. Missouri cost me $89
for three nights, while Wisconsin was $228 for four nights. They hit me
for $15 each night for out of state and Missouri had no such penalty.
$30 a day in Missouri and $57 dollars a day in Wisconsin. Plus, in
Wisconsin you have to buy a vehicle sticker to get in. That's another
$82.50. Disgusting. Illinois for some unbelievable reason knowing how
fucked up the rest of everything in the state is happens to be the
cheapest of all and being over 62 cost me $15/night. If you're under 62
it jumps up, but still the best at $25/night. No out of state extra
charges amazingly and no vehicle fees to get in any state park.

I'm buying my beer and diesel fuel in Illinois!

Ugh. Were these all FHU, or electric only?

FWIW, Indiana SPs do this same park entrance fee on top of the
site charges. I think it was about $15.

Nebraska SPs have a vehicle entry fee as well.

Good to know, thanks! Maybe we should start filling in a table.
Or maybe there's a listing already out there on the interwebs.

    Just electric.

I ain't against them completely, but Wi is pretty damn expensive and
they really hit the out of state folks. They call us FIB's (fucking
Illinois Bastards) and dislike us, but us fibs pay for most of the shit
in that state with our tourism dollars.

Maybe this winter I'll come up with a sheet to start filling it in with
these type of details. We could also then rate the different places, in particular if'n a place is one to avoid!
