We've been having some pretty rough weather in the midwest this week.
Had about 6 inches of rain at my house, with areas very close getting
hit much harder. I've been pretty fortunate here in that I got
everything I have, including the jeep, in the garage. Except of course
for the View. We've had tornado warnings three nights now, and the big
worry for me is either a tree going down or major hail damage. Somehow,
all the storms, though still heavy, have managed to have the worst slide around us either north or south. Tornadoes touched down just a few
miles away and my best pal who lives about 10 miles got hit with some of
the biggest damn hail you could imagine. Getting hit with one of these
would kill you and if we had this at the house the view would probably
be going back to the shop for more repairs ending our forthcoming trip. Fortunately, we lost power for about 3 hours from the surge of the
tornado taking down all the power lines, but otherwise no damage.

Glad to hear it. We've been pretty fortunate here in eastern
Nebraska as well, though it's been awfully windy.

I had no idea how lucky I was. First time I went out after the storms
today going south, and less than 1/2 mile down the road it looked like a disaster area. Whole bunch of huge trees down, one guy had one fall on
the front of his house damaging the roof and a porch like area, and saw another that had a very nice large fifth wheel camping trailer parked
out back with a huge maple laying across the middle of it. I had no
idea it got this bad. Pretty amazing!
