Going under the knife soon so I wanted to just wish
everyone a Happy New Year before hand and best wishes to
all the RV folks here. It has been a pleasure getting to
know all of you this year and I look forward to better
things to come!
Thanks, happy new year to you too!
And I hope the procedure goes well!
Well, I lived.
Kinda crazy what they can do these days. Very optimistic about
being able to do the good hiking like before. Of course, I'm
probably a little buzzed right now, but I am very happy about
all this at this moment. Thank you, Ted!
Oh, that's excellent! Hope the recovery goes well. With modern
physical therapy, seems very likely you'll have lots of hiking to
come.
Enjoy the buzz while you can. lol
They said the coming days it would certainly get worse, and they
actually said a lot worse. Silly me, I thought I was going to be ok.
Was walking around pretty good last night and had little difficulty
going up and down the few stairs in and out of my garage. Woke up
feeling pretty good still.
Then just like that everything changed. The good hospital meds and the
nerve block are long gone, and it swelled up like a grapefruit. Now
it's starting to get black and blue. I'd say the knee is worse than
either a hip or shoulder replacement, especially since it affects you
getting around. Guess it's gonna be hard for a couple days, but I know
I can take it, though I might have to double up on the pain meds. ;-)
