    On the lawns
    They're so noisy
    I want them gone

    With polluting motors
    Why'd they feel they need to start them
    All up at the crack of dawn

    Seems nearly every day
    There's one not far away
    I have no peace and quiet, just dismay

    Riding mowers
    In the 'hood
    Make a racket
    More than they should
    Riding mowers
    And those damned leaf blowers
    I'd outlaw those noisy monsters
    (Or) make them quiet if I could

    For me it will come too late
    But someday, yet, my state's
    Pollution laws will cause them to abate

    'Lectric mowers
    'Stead of gas
    Though not silent
    They have more class
    'Lectric mowers
    For you large lawn growers
    Why not use them 'fore you're forced to?
