Does anyone have any information on the Ave Maria by Caccini (recently recorded by Charlotte Church on Voice of an Angel)? I assume theIt was written by a Russian composer I think his last name was something like Kaliskov in 1970. He was an unknown, so in order to have it become well known he credited Caccini as the source of the composition.
original text included the complete hymn (Church sings only the title words).
