• My cat crapping solution

    Hi All,

I am letting my garlic bed rest for the season before
planting peppers or cucumbers in it next season.

My bed it about 6' long by 14" wide. And recessed about 1"
below level so water won't run off.

Problem: this presents a lovely toilet for the neighborhood
cats. Soft soil and all. And the neighborhood coyotes
have been falling down on the job lately.

In the past, I have been putting tooth picks in the
soil, but they decompose and it is back to cat crap.
Cayenne pepper decomposes and/or washes away.

    Here is my (next) solution:

Cat do not like walking on chicken wire, and I can roll
    it up when I want:

SATINIOR Chicken Wire Fencing 13.7 x 80 Inches Chicken Wire Frame Mesh
for Floral Arrangements Fence Garden Poultry Netting Galvanized
Hexagonal Metal Roll for Craft Work Garden (Green)

    https://www.amazon.com/SATINIOR-Sheets-Chicken-Galvanized-Hexagonal/dp/B08XXD6DS5

And a few stainless steel landscape staples (not 200 million)

Atlantic Stainless Steel Landscape Staples Garden Stakes. (4"-Square-10pcs)

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0G24Q756H

    Here kitty, kitty!

I do not crap on your lawn, don't send your animals to
    crap on mine!

We've used 2x4 welded wire (more open than chicken wire) for the same
reason. We even experimented with planting with the wire fencing still
in place with mixed results. Whatever the planting results, the cats
    stopped crapping in the beds.

I thought of rolling out some barbed wire, but that my
might hurt me more then them.
