    With today's 2+ gallons we'll have right around 50 pints of green
    beans from our garden . And judging from the blossoms popping up on the
    plants I picked yesterday we will probably get two more pickings ...

    When I tried growing beans, I got about three
    toothpick beans. I have bad soil.

    Amend it ! IIRC you're in Nevada , do they have an agricultural
    college extension program ? We do here in Arkansas , they will test our
    soil for free ...

    We have an extension. They are not help at all.
