These questions were written to be asked in Toronto on 2025-03-03,
    and should be interpreted accordingly.

On each question you may give up to two answers, but if you give
both a right answer and a wrong answer, there is a small penalty.
Please post all your answers in a single followup to the newsgroup,
based only on your own knowledge. (In your answer posting, quote
the questions and place your answer below each one.) I will reveal
the correct answers in about 3 days.

All questions were written by members of the Night Owls, and are
used here by permission, but have been reformatted and may have
been retyped and/or edited by me. The posting and tabulation of
current-events questions is independent of the concurrent posting
of other rounds. For further information please see my 2024-08-30
companion posting on "Questions from the Canadian Inquisition

    * Game 7, Round 4 - Canadiana History - Provincial Premiers

    1. George Murray was premier for 26 years and 188 days between 1896
and 1923; the longest unbroken tenure for a head of government
in Canadian history. Which province did Mr. Murray govern?

    2. Who was the Ontario's longest-serving premier? He was in power
between 1873 and 1896. One of his great-grand-nephews, with
the same family name, became a well-known author.

    3. Who had the *shortest* term as premier of Quebec? *Hint*: his
brother and his father were also premiers of Quebec. Ironically,
he himself was a member of the Parti Quobocois, his brother
Daniel Jr. was a Liberal, and his father Daniel Sr. was a member
    of the Union National Party.

    4. Who was the longest-serving premier of Newfoundland (& Labrador)?

    5. Who was the longest-serving premier of Alberta, in power between
1943 and 1968? He was also the host of "Back to the Bible"
radio show and his son also became a prominent politician.

    6. Who was the longest-serving premier of Quebec, often called
    "Le Chef"?

    7. Who was the longest-serving premier of Saskatchewan?

    8. The first Canadian female premier was briefly in power in
British Columbia in 1991. What was her name?

    9. Who was the premier of Nova Scotia from 1956 to 1967, later
    becoming a prominent federal politician?

    10. Two former Premiers of Nova Scotia later became Prime
Ministers of Canada. One was provincial premier from 1864-05-11
to 1867-07-04; the other was provincial premier from 1882-05-25
    to 1882-08-03. Name either one.

    * Game 7, Round 5 - Audio - Boy Bands

This is a round on boy bands from the 1990s and onwards. The song
selected is either their breakout hit, their most successful record
or both. The year the song was released will be provided as a clue.
Instead of the audio clip, I'll just give you the title; and you
    dentify the group or band.

    1. "Sucker" (2019).
    2. "Mmmbop" (1997).
    3. "Dynamite" (2020).
    4. "Bye Bye Bye" (2000).

    case name them.

    1. If you want to see over 15,000 objects related to footwear, go

campus, and you will find this museum. (Two main words of the
    name required.)

    2. This museum, dedicated to artists of the 21st century,
relocated from Queen St. W. to the Junction Triangle in 2018.
    What is it called?

landscaped museum with striking architecture houses thousands
of artifacts related to the Islamic world.

    4. You will find this museum dedicated to ceramic arts near the
    ROM on Bloor Street.

    5. Often referred to as "Toronto's Downton Abbey", this museum
representing the life of an affluent family in the time period
1900-30 can be found near Casa Loma.

    6. If you go to the Hockey Hall of Fame, be sure to spend
some time in the vast modern building that surrounds the Hall.
The magnificent parabolic ceiling makes it a great place to
relax for a coffee or a bite to eat. What is its name?

    7. Inspired by a model railway in Germany, go across from the Eaton
Centre and spend an hour or so examining replicas of outstanding
tourist attractions from all over Canada in miniature. What is
    this place called?

    8. Head down to Front St. near the St. Lawrence Centre to enter a
world of holograms, and exhibits such as the Vortex Tunnel,
the Rotate Room, and the Head on a Platter. What on earth is
    this place called?

    9. Canada's leading free public-art gallery, dedicated to
presenting contemporary art, ideas, and conversations, is

At the time I posted, my newsfeed had not delivered the answers post,
even though the answers had been posted almost 20 hours earlier. That
lag has been the case for a couple-three months now.

BTW, I almost didn't post at all, since in my first reading, I didn't
know any answers. On a later rereading, I thought I knew one, but
    obviously was mistaken.
