Does anyone have any good advice on where to begin testing on a dead TZ clock?

It has power, that's clear by the lights and all but on boot up, the self check reads out that the clock is dead. Would an Opto keep the clock from turning at all? I have traced all of the connectors as good and could see no obvious damage to the clock board (in clock) nor the sub board under the playfield.

    Tips or suggestions?

    Thanks!

New Years Eve 1969 and the poor guy is still waiting. Then again TZ was
not released until 1993 so someone's clock is way out of whack.

More likely the posting software is broken. DEC-31-1969 23:59:59
is the start of the Unix epoch (Unix reckons time by keeping a
running count of seconds since the start of the epoch)[*]. The value
zero will translate to the time string seen in the OP.

[*] Usenet began on unix, so the NNTP timestamps use unix time values.
