Now I realize what this guy was talking about. He must have had a
checklist of things he did each move. One of the things he did every
once in awhile was "analyze the board." He makes plans... chases
queens... develops his knights etcetera. He was just being an asshole
and not letting me in on his inner secrets. It becomes clear in time
though. You can see this sometimes in music lyrics that are juvenile to decipher after time passes a bit. Even though the artist is doing their
best to be obtuse. Over time the cliches become more obvious.
