• A reference position for an opening double based on early 66

    9A 9A probably plays very similarly to money.
    There's an adage that, to have a double based on an early 66,
    you need to have improved your position but only slightly.
    Automatically doubling whenever you get an early 66 will lead
    you to many premature doubles.

    According to XG's analysis, this position is exactly on the border
    between double and hold.

    Well, that's assuming you play the 66 the way the computer does.
    The computer would never play 66 the way you played it here.
