After the obligatory hit, I was quite proud of my 6-4 play.
My reasoning was that I was trying to get both checkers
in the air to win the game so I wanted to be hit.
It also slots an inner board point.

The next day I appeared live on the Jay Leno show.
Referring to my play, Jay exclaimed loudly: "What the hell
    were you thinking?"

Why was Jay so critical of my play?

    Thank you.

    Paul

I wouldn't pay much attention to Jay; he doesn't understand
    positions like this one.

I think 6/4 is absolutely wrong.
