That was a weird draw. One source claimed it was half an hour later than scheduled and, last time I looked, THL still hadn't uploaded a video of
the draw.
I think they are trying to destroy confidence in the 6/59 draw. So that
later they can turn round and say "Oh look there's more people buying
our new Powerball lines and we'll stop the 6/59 one".
My own view, for many years, is that they made a mistake in going away
from the 6/49 draw to the 6/59 one and increasing the cost to -u2. They
need to get back to that.
When this point is put to them they say oh people weren't playing it.
But I looked at the figures. There were -u16.7m ticket sales for the
last 6/49 lotto (so 16m tickets). Last Sat -u25m in sales so 12m tickets.
They are killing it.
