I grilled the bones from 3 t-bones I'd used for ground beef. Delicious.

My brother says not to give cooked bones to dogs. It presents a choking hazard.
I don't know why that is. My brother will give a deer head to his dogs. They'll
eat the entire head - antlers and all in a couple of days. That's so creepy.

Depends on the animal. Some bones will split and break off chunks that
could get caught. Raw are better than cooked.

I don't know a thing about that. I don't plan on ever owning a dog anyway. We did have a dog when I was a kid. They say that it choked on a bone and died.
I sort of remember seeing my dad and brother on top of the hill burying the dog. It looked kind of dramatic with them silhouetted against the red evening sky - but it might have just been a dream that I had.

If your dad and brother were asian, that dog was in the dinner pot that
day. They are mighty delicious with rice and dog gravy, especially if
the animal was a young one.

Supposedly, thin bones like those in a t-bone are somewhat unsafe for
dogs. On occasions where I have a larger bone, I have been known to just
toss it in a tree lawn where I know folks walk their dogs, but most
bones aren't of that type. As far as gnawing There's seldom anything
left but actual bone, and I've been known to gnaw that down too. The
thick bones in round and sirloin are removed before they sell the meat.
