That can happen but Trollie does it on purpose. He has very few
objectives here. One is to disrupt, hence the crossposting. Two is to
spread extreme right wing ideas and medieval Christian fundamentalism.
Three is to suck up to dsi1 so that he looks as if he's able to have a
normal conversation. dsi1 laps it up. Finally, he gets some
appreciation from a white person, other than his wife.

But you already knew all that.

Wow, the evil is just oozing out of you like a lava flow of brimstone
    and calumny.

This is to be expected in "end times", it's just disturbing how
ardently you have taken to the task of creating even more dismay before
the fish tank gets washed out again.

    And it will.

Dinner tonight was a nice hamburger. 80/20 ground chuck.

I cooked one burger, approx. 1/4 lb., cooked in a small hot cast iron skillet until very nicely seared on each side, cooked until just medium
rare in the center. The "sizzle" in the name comes from an
advertisement from when I was a child for American French's brand Worcestershire sauce. The directions said add a pat of butter to the skillet with the burger and add some French's brand "worcestersire"
sauce and cook it until it sizzles.

Guess what? It tastes very good!

I had a handful of potato chips to go along with the sizzle burger.

My daughter cooked some chicken and rice. The chicken was boneless chicken thighs
and the rice was long grain rice and corn. That's pretty strange around here. It
was quite tasty. She said the chicken had a miso/shoyu sauce. I'm going to have
to steal that idea for my chicken.

That was my fault for not snipping the cross posted groups. Just as I pressed send I saw the other group, but then it was too late.

I like a good grilled cheese sandwich. Do you butter the bread first or add butter to the pan then add the bread with cheese?

Even though you didn't ask for my method, I'm a butter the bread to the
very edge girl and then into the toaster oven set at 400-#F. Flipped after about +/- seven minutes.

    ~

I've been sticking my buns under the broiler setting in the air fryer. It's done
in 120 to 150 seconds. That's just the speed I like.

    Bruce
    Hank Rogers

    Doesn't like someone:

    All the rest of us.

I don't agree with you all that often but those are the two who
almost never post constructive cooking content.

Given the strafing you have taken from them, that's earned candor.

    There is another layer
though, that is those who post about food, but they do that to
legitimize themselves, and their main goal is something other than
    food discussion.

I've not seen that layer - like any hobby or avocation one is either
into it or not and it either shows or not.

I can accommodate myself as well with the air fryer chefs here as those
    who use more traditional implements.

Question is - can you make and share replicable dishes?

You have your Weber kettle and sticks method down, but how often do you
start a steak by indirect heat and then finish off with fruit wood over
    coals for the final sear?

    That sort of thing.

    No critism here.-a I don't own a toaster oven.-a I cook grilled cheese

One side and it's a beautiful golden brown. It probably would be quicker
in hot skilled directly over a flame, but the toaster oven gives me time

Not a hot skillet. A medium-low one. Otherwise the outside burns

I've never seen a vegan or even a vegetarian in this newsgroup.

Really?! You don't recall John Kuthe constantly shouting he was a
vegetarian? Brown rice and vegetable whatever? Occasionally he
mentioned a potato dish which was essentially potatoes gratin with
Grueyere cheese. No meat! Except, of course, if someone gave it to
him. If it's a gift, it didn't count. It would have been rude for him
    to refuse it. Uh huh.

I have a friend who claimed to be a vegetarian. He drove me to an
appointment once and while he was waiting for me he went to McDonald's.
He ordered a sausage egg & cheese biscuit. I guess it never occurred to
him he could have asked them to give him an egg & cheese biscuit, no

Dinner tonight was a nice hamburger. 80/20 ground chuck.

I cooked one burger, approx. 1/4 lb., cooked in a small hot cast

just medium rare in the center. The "sizzle" in the name comes
from an advertisement from when I was a child for American
French's brand Worcestershire sauce. The directions said add a
pat of butter to the skillet with the burger and add some
French's brand "worcestersire" sauce and cook it until it
    sizzles.

Guess what? It tastes very good!

I had a handful of potato chips to go along with the sizzle
    burger.

My daughter cooked some chicken and rice. The chicken was boneless chicken thighs and the rice was long grain rice and corn. That's
pretty strange around here. It was quite tasty. She said the
chicken had a miso/shoyu sauce. I'm going to have to steal that
    idea for my chicken.

Grueyere cheese. No meat! Except, of course, if someone gave it to
him. If it's a gift, it didn't count. It would have been rude for him

Remember when he was trying to hit on the bank clerk and he invited her
to his house and he was grilling pork ribs and he offered her a plate?
She was Jewish by his own admission and she declined.

I remember that! Another time, someone just happened to give him a >rotisserie chicken, so of course he had to eat it. It would have been

I've made fried apples _numerous_ times, but I don't make a cornstarch
slurry. The sauce will thicken on its' own and fried apples, mashed
potatoes, and ham steak (especially if it's cooked on a grill) is
    heavenly.

    I'm not saying you're a flexitarian. Flexitarians eat meat 2 or 3
times a week. They care about animal welfare and the environment and
have reduced their meat consumption. People in RFC don't care about

Really?! You don't recall John Kuthe constantly shouting he was a

    So John wasn't a vegetarian.

You (and her Majesty) know perfectly well that kuth was completely
fucked up in the head. Beyond any hope of recovery.

I have a friend who claimed to be a vegetarian. He drove me to an
appointment once and while he was waiting for me he went to McDonald's.
He ordered a sausage egg & cheese biscuit. I guess it never occurred to
him he could have asked them to give him an egg & cheese biscuit, no
    sausage.

He was also not a vegetarian then.

Right. But it gives her Majesty something to crow about. Let the old

My butter is always at fridge temperature, so I add it to the skillet

I must be one of the weirdos that actually likes butter hard. I think it tastes better. I am fine with getting a chunk of butter in a bite rather than a thin layer smeared across everything. I used to have fun savoring that in front of my BiL who always whined and carried on if his butter
was not close to melting soft.

Damn, Dave, your Bil also whined a lot? Is he still in Canada?

    Worms?
    lol.
    No, not really:
    AI Overview
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s raspy, shaky voice
is caused by spasmodic dysphonia, a rare neurological voice disorder
that he developed at age 42. The condition causes involuntary spasms in
the muscles of the larynx, making his speech sound strained, tight, or trembling.
    What is Spasmodic Dysphonia?
The Root Cause: It is a central
nervous system disorder. Doctors believe it stems from abnormal nerve
signaling or dysfunction in the basal gangliarCothe part of the brain
that coordinates muscle movements. The Effect: The tiny muscles that
open and close the vocal cords contract randomly and without control
    during speech.
    Onset:
Symptoms typically begin during middle age (often
between ages 30 and 50). Kennedy first noticed his voice starting to
    tremble in the mid-1990s.
    Management and Outlook
    No Cure:
There is currently no permanent cure for spasmodic
dysphonia.Treatments: Many people manage the symptoms using regular
vocal cord injections of botulinum toxin (Botox) to relax the spasming
muscles, alongside speech therapy. Kennedy has noted that while his
voice sounds strained and rough, using it more frequently tends to make
the physical delivery stronger rather than tire it out.

Surely trump wouldn't have appointed him without great confidence in
his ability. Would he? This all leaves me perplexed.
    Because he has gravel voice?
We'll all be fine, trust me..or not...

Tonight I made a burger that was boiled in water, Worcestershire, shoyu. Some dehydrated onions were also added. The burger was turned several times. If you put in the correct amount of water, the burger will be done when the water is boiled away. This was placed on a bun that was brushed with garlic butter and broiled. The onions were spooned on top of the burger. Nothing else was added. It wasn't bad.

I just slice hard butter from the fridge. If it's too thin, it can't
stand up to the peanut butter anyway.

Send him some ED. You can afford it, but he may be scrimping to get by.
