My prvacy has been stolen, and I see targeted ads in my web browser news
feed all the time. Sometimes my own items for sale on ebay (which is
kinda cool), but today I got the mother of all stupids.

First was an MSC ad for a 13pc set of Hertel Silver & Deming bits. Upon clcking on the link (just of of curiosity. I dsocvered they were $385 dolloars. Not a surprise Hertel has a recoognized name.

Shortly after an add for a nearly identical Value Colletion set appear
in my feed. Value Collection is a generic name MSC uses for what is
typically their discount line. Really curious now I clicked on it to
see hom much cheaper the Value Collection set was. $409.

    BWHAHAHAHAHA

I once had a QR code as my profile picture on one of the forums that
when decoded said, "Yes, you can in theory feed an infinite number of
monkeys for an infinite amount of time to pound on an infinite number of typewriters, or you could just buy a copy of the complete works of
Shakespeare directly from Bill, and have it tomorrow."

The only brain dead wanna be clever response I ever got from those few
people who scanned it was, "Who's Bill?"

No, you will have far more success asking those people to spend other
    people's money feeding monkeys.

Sounds like my local so-called newspaper who seem to have taken "spill
chucker" to new levels by having local interest articles written by
people who have never seen a map of the city let alone flown over it!

I can understand them not learning tech but they can flunk their own
specialty too. During a NH presidential primary meeting I had to answer a national political reporter's alarmist leading question by reminding them
that the Constitution requires all funding bills to originate in the House, the President can only administer how Congressionally approved
    appropriations are distributed.

This explores the complexies and boundary-pushing. https://www.vanderbilt.edu/csdi/research/WP_1_2017_final.pdf
