me a limb chipper . They didn't understand how it operated and thought
it needed a set of blades and it was on it's way to the scrap yard-a . It doesn't but that's not the reason for this post . The self aligning
bearing on the working end of this machine has fatigued and broken the
mount tabs and the bearing feels "just not quite right' so I called a
local supplier and got a quote ... $450 plus shipping for a pair of these .
-a So just for S&G I decided to check eBay and ain't that some shit the second result is exactly what I need . NOS open box unit for under 25
bucks delivered ! While awaiting it's arrival I'll rework the motor
mount plate , it's got some flex that that I don't like . Looks like in
the future I'll be dragging home the foliage from the trees I cut for
fire wood to make mulch .
I get that feeling when I do things and it just works.
Roll under a trailer, and make an overhead weld that runs in nice AND
looks good.
Shows some engineering students, that no your machine shop lab tech
doesn't know what he is talking about. You absolutely can turn those diameters at those speeds in those alloys. People had slow lathes for hundreds of years before they had fast lathes.
That sort of thing.
