• An Unusual Sight

    When leaving for work this morning I saw three birds drinking from a
    puddle in the middle of my street. Two of them were crows, the third
    was a red-tailed hawk. Kind of took me by surprise but I gather crows
    are rather larger prey than what a hawk will go after unless it is
    really hungry.

    Interesting. Crows are known to gang up and chase hawks and owls away.

    A hawk might not even go after a bluejay, they don't take no flack from nobody.

    Thank you for that article! I was surprised to see the crows and the
    hawk sipping water side by side. All I can think is that it's been very
    hot and stormy, so there were puddles in the street and they were very thirsty.
