Frank disappeared from the group about 18 months ago. I believe that was because he couldn't stand the fact that I was a non-degreed EE that believed that his claim to be a Mechanical Engineer was somewhat dubious since he had never actually made any mecanical designs, but simply taught it.
Now h3 was most certainly a cyclist which is what this group is all about, but he would rather argue that I wasn't an engineer despite 50 years of experience and a bank accoubt to match and recommendations from serious sources.
About this same time, John, who like Liebermann wasn't a bicyclist in the "sport" definition of the claim. He like me had been in the Air Force but his memory of his 20 years didn't work very well. He was making claims about the Air Force that simply weren't true. But the ones that were completely believable put his age in the mid-90's so I guess his disappearance was due to our loss of him to old age. He qnd his late wife used to bicycle in Thailand so he was a cyclist in the utilitarian use. He is missed as is Frank who I very much hope is healthy and simply pissed off at me.
I presently have 3850 miles and depending on the weather which is usually good until late December I should make betgween 4500 and 5000 miles. Most of my riding is solo but even with two meals a day I cannot lose weight.
I will soon finish my Eddie Merckx San Remo. So I will report on it.
