I made the mistake of ordering the Park tool magnets from China. NEVER do thatg if there is a US source. After more than a week it still hasn't been put in the mail and there is no tracking.
I used to have several magnets around but I can't find any now that I want them so I am stuck waiting foreverr for the very wide delivery estimates. After I get the rear deraailleur wire out of the chainstay, I can thread the rubber tube as far as just beyond the lower CC shield. Thie will allow fast installation in the future.
But at the moment the Park Tool magenets aren't even in the mail. Always go for US sources whenever possible.
By the way Andrew, concerning that source you gave me for knit gloves - I bought two pair and they never showed up. But the money was taken out of my CC account. And Rock Bros. showed knit gloves but they had none. and they returned my money.

Huh. Most shops I know (including here) consider those a
commodity; steady sales, always in stock.

That's good to know. My problem is that I can get them off of EBsy for $40 with free delivery and out of a shop for $80. If I got them from a shop directly I would have them in hand of course and it is a one time purchase. But I still have the habits from growing up poor. So while I know that it ix stupid to fuss over the cost of a lifetime tool. I do have the practices of a lifetime to follow.
Can you just imagine what is going to happen if the Iranians have enough of their religious leaders and throw them out of office? Our markets will double and my investments will make me a multi-millionaire. That is something I would never have expected when I was washing dishes to get gas money. The Air Force taught me to live on what it takes and not what you want. So these days my wants instead of needs is ice cream.
I put in 38.8 miles today for 236 miles at less than the half way point of the month. And I've been doing short rides to measure the lengths of rides I might do if I can't make a long ride. Today my legs where dead and it showed with a max heart rate 5 beats above normal max.
