The Colnago C-RS is actually a great riding bike. Unlike the Master X Light it replaced ir steer just right. Not so fast that it always takes 10 minutes of riding to stop overcorrecyng.
I also really HATE deep wheels that accelerate like they're glued to the ground so I put on Campy Protons though I was looking for a good set of Neutrons. I put Perilli 30 mm tires on with innertubes. Do I got the lower rolling resistance with faster acceleration. This combination gave me 1 full mph faster average speed over the 34 mile course but it dropped a little over the 43 miles I put in today. I was getting tired since my average heart rate was way up at 121 bpm and a max of 137.
I got in almost 7 houts of sleep last night. Otherwise I couldn't have held a heat rate like that.
It appears at thiz point that I will be setting a new monthly distance record if all goes according to plan.

Second ride on the Colnago RS. I was a little tired from Tuesday's ride but I still did faster than I was on the Ridley Helium. And the manual 10 speed LTWoo is all hell and gone better than the Ultegra Di2 of the Ridley. There is a reason that the pros are all running one ring. The rear derailleur works fine but the Front Derailleur is very difficult to adjust properly and get it to stay that way. Minx you, when it is working properly, it is good, but getting it to work over time isn't that easy.
At my present rate I should set a record for monthly miles this month. And largely because the wheels are so much better than deep wheels. I don't ride nearly fast enough for deep wheels to make any difference to they are just this huge mass to accelerate from a stop.

Riding with the group today I was taking it easy and still running off from them with a low average heart rate and low max heart rate.

OK, After 5 rides on the R-CS I would rate it as a very confortable riding bike. Since I am riding 30/32 Pirelli racing wheels it isn't clear whether it is the entire package or the tires and wheels that are making it so. I really like the 10 speed LTWoo levers and the 11-36 cassette For the last two days I have actually be riding largely in level 2 with an average of 109 bpm or less.
I'm still working on the Eddy Merckx trying to get the internal wiring done. I suspect that once done it will be better than the Colnago.
