Is there any improvements aside from colors on the 1050 vs the 1030?

You really should learn how to use a search engine (or to ask an AI).
This might help. Garmin Edge 1050, 1030 Plus and 1030 Comparison: <https://www.garmin.com/en-US/compare/?compareProduct=1196129&compareProduct=704417&compareProduct=567991>
Check the "Show only differences" box.

Nothing wrong with the XX30 series, the XX50 series have brilliant screens
but they also have poor battery life, the 1040 is probably a safer bet.

Though considering how much you struggle with technology, IrCOd suggest not changing, I believe the interface is quite different now.

What would you like to bet that I know 100 mtimes morew about technology than you do?I'm the one that worked 50 years as an EE and software engineer. I njust got another offer yesterday for a job to make $200,000/year. Thet soubnds to me like a ittle more confidence in my abilities than you seem to have. Obviously you have no technical abilities and think that if someone could design and program medical machines, the could understand military grade GPS without a warm-up. If you believe the world to be so simple why aren't you rich?

By the way, I'm not trying to insult you, but to impress on you the complexity of subjects talked about here. Knowing that the battery like of the 1050 is impared is what I was looking for.

ItrCOs not the battery life which is traded for a more brilliant screen but TomrCOs lack of understanding of technology despite his claims, and I canrCOt see a new generation from what IrCOve seen, making life less confusing for
him, rather the opposite plus seems to be a few others with XX30 generation
on the group, I have the 830 which Tom also has, CatTrike has the 530 as
    does a mate of mine.

I donrCOt see any plus to Tom getting a 1050 vs a 1030.
