There used to be juvinile dentention for these sorts of kids. But children have to plan and commit a murder now before they are punished. Instead parents are fined.

On my bike ride last Sunday I encountered a kid on a e-powered skate
board. I had to wonder how good he was at controlling the thing as I
met him on the 8 foot wide bike path. He was probably moving at 10 or
12 MPH. The only way he could steer it was by leaning and I doubt it
had any brakes. On my return trip on the Starkey Park trail I came
across a old fellow pushing his very heavy looking fat tired e-bike. I
stopped to ask him if he was OK. He said he had a flat tire, his
battery had died, and he couldn't pedal it. The tire looked to be
shredded. I told him I'd send one the park rangers out in one of their
golf carts to get him, which I did. The damned electric stuff is
really taking over the bike trails around here.

IrCOve seen rarely E skateboards normal adults since they are expensive bits
of kit! And clearly canrCOt be used like normal due to that, ie damaged board would be rather catastrophic for that!

They seem to clip along okay very much the ooh wow one of those like the
uni wheel, IrCOm told that they are grey area with uk law but thatrCOs probably wishful thinking!

IrCOd say with the puncture thatrCOs less of e bike thing but folks donrCOt come
prepared, IrCOve changed tubes and even plugged tubeless tyres for lots of random folks let alone club mates etc.

In fairness to the E moto folks had a few offers as they had an electric
pump as my old commuter had a puncture last week, tyre almost made it to
    10k!

I used one of the Hire bikes last week, which is a E bike, as well though
might be fun to try, IrCOd forgotten how ungainly such bikes are, not helped
by a rather cheap surging E assist which amount of assistance wandered
around. Did cut off at 15 mph though the bije was clearly happier going a
    bit slower 11/12 mph.

CanrCOt say IrCOd be rushing to use one again but interesting nevertheless, and clearly itrCOs quite a bit slower than both of my commute bikes!

Fixing the old guy's tire wouldn't have helped him because he couldn't
peddled that heavy thing even with good tires, and it didn't look
    fixable anyway.

Some of the E motos the pedals are just to very loosely confirm to
regulation, so the bike canrCOt in any meaningful way be pedalled.

Others are proper E bikes and just feel natural just you on a good day etc,
ie some are bikes and others are mopeds/motorbikes.

I have noticed on my travels that even the Dutch are having problems by allowing the two classes of E bikes which then has problems with the mixed
with other slower users of the cycleways.

    <https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/jun/14/trial-of-12mph-bike-lane-speed-limit-grinds-gears-of-dutch-cyclists?>

Obviously one article or news report is difficult to know how much of issue
    it is.

Interesting one is Barcelona banning Dockless hire bikes, in london they
have been kept but Lime in particular who are desperately unresponsive with bikes being left in all sorts of selfish places. Loosing contracts with a number of london councils.

Would seem reading the article that the dockless bikes in Barcelona are
used by the tourists 90% and locals 10% so the appeal to keep such agents
of chaos if they arenrCOt using them isnrCOt there.

In London and IrCOd guess other cities they are routinely used as last mile sort of journeys so they are popular with the public just want them parked
    with a thought to others!
