• Toe in on 2 wheels

The Catrike has the 2 front wheels with direct drive steering. The
wheels need to be toed in about 1/16 of an inch. I have been watching
videos of checking alignment and seems like they are looking for
precision but then when they go and measure to me 1/16 of an inch is
might small to go finding on the two wheels being apart.

Seems like you could measure the center of the tire too and record front
and back measurement. In my case I am not worried about my Catrike yet
just thinking ahead. It seems to glide and move quite straight on fast descends no wheel scrubbing that I can tell. AI says just because I can
go downhill fast and smooth does not mean my tires are not scrubbing but
that does not completely make sense.

Looking at the 2 tires they have about 1500 miles on them and no uneven
ear and tread shows fine on each separate wheel? Anyone ever do this adjustment?

I tried several home made devices, but finally broke down and bought
    one.

I have the Catrike tool, but if I were to buy it today I would go for
    the sunseeker version.

I have a special setting on my work stand that locks the wheels in the
straight forward position. Then I measure with the tool (above) from
wheel rim to wheel rim behind the axels and in front of the axels.
I shoot for near zero toein... meaning that when the tool is locked
it's a slightly tighter fit in the front measurement than in the back.

How often do you have to set it or check? Pretty flat in Florida roads
    seem good.

I check it about twice a year. I set it after I rebuilt the frame, and
then a couple of times after. I was told the frame would settle a bit
and apparently it did. It was a little off after I changed out the
headsets, but other than that, it's been nothing more than a check.
