I have 2100 miles in at the beginning of the 5th month of the eyear. I will, no doubt, do a 400+ mile June
I have to start doing the same hill rides I was doing last year before my stroke. I was not getting particulsrly high blood pressure on those climbs but I am a lot slower now. This irritates drivers.
My Colnago C-RS will be delivered in a couple of hours qand I will begin the process of discovering what I have to do to get a seatpost olock.
That is unless Andrew can find one for me.

    D'oh. Thank you.

I replied to Mr Kunich's earlier seatpost request conflating
    with his C40.

No need to thank me. I was feeling a little depressed and wanted to
take a pot shot at Tom. Now, I feel much better. Thanks.

I was wondering how his C40 morphed into a C-RS. With a garage
stuffed with about 15 different bicycles, it's a minor miracle that
    Tom can keep them organized.

305 Euros ($352 USD) seems expensive for my minimalist lifestyle.
However, Tom has millions hidden under his mattress and can probably
    afford it.

The C-ES was released after the C59 but before the C60. In 2018 to be exact. It uses a standard 27.2 round seatpost and an odd seatpost lock that is like the old quill stem mechanicms that have a 60 degree or so mechanicm that pushes againstest the seatpostwhen you tighten the allen screw.
To be truthful, I can't see how that mechanicm can be brocken but it looks all scratched up like the previous owner didn't understand how to use a wrench.
Colnago says that they don't supply spare parts but there's always the chance that one of your source would have one on the back shelf. That they don't keep an exceedingly odd part from a bike onlt 8 years old really surprises me. Otherwise you can't believe what a work of art it is. Not quite a BB30 bottom bracket because it doesn't have the lock rind slot and the bearings are simply pushed in.

Colnagoes sell almost instantly. I had the C40 15 years ago cracked the fork and sold the frame with no fork 3 days later. I got a C50 And it was so much better than the C40 that there was no comparison. I sold that to make room for the new out of a shop window Basso Loto s5teel frameset. it was two lbs ready toi rided heavier than the C40. I was looking at a C60 and ran across the C-RS. And I'm telling you, IF it had a ring-type of seat post lock, it would be the perfect bike. And the reports are that the steering is less abrupt than the Master. That is so quick you really have to get used to it.
