After many seemingly incessant weeks of miserable rides, the
least favorable spring riding weather in memory, I've
enjoyed two weeks now of wonderful morning rides.

Today it's overcast with a very light misting
not-quite-rain, but warm calm and quiet. Another wonderful
    ride. Life is good!

That sounds pretty decent. I decided to just stay in a ride the indoor trainer. The wind was at 17 mph and I just want to sit inside and ride.
I still cannot believe you have no staff working now? Do you have
someone who is on call? Maybe you don't do so much tunes ups and the
sort. I was assume you don't build wheels much anymore? Just send out
parts as needed? I am thinking about getting some power meter pedals for
the Trike for fun to see the power. That could depend on the guitar
situation. I also notice gas prices here dropped now at 4.38 a gallon
    was at one point 4.99

I did several 'tuneups' (I really detest that expression.
It's stupid.) yesterday. I not only build wheels, I taught
several dozen wheelbuilders here over the years besides a
    wheelbuilding class for 25 years.
