Yup itrCOs Unbound race this weekend,

And last yearrCOs champion, Cameron Jones is on a prototype Scott bike with 32inch wheels, seems to be shod with some Schwable G one RX Pros which I
have newly fitted to the bike, which is another prototype or at least not listed on Schwable site.

    <https://www.bikeradar.com/news/scott-bikes-32in-prototype-unbound-gravel>
are some video interviews as well where the bike doesnrCOt look as out of proportion, such as this <https://youtu.be/fHuJi9oKKkk?si=q5ey4Pq0zomH7qlg>

Looks to be a wet race, which one can watch on YouTube I will probably
catch the last few hours tomorrow.

I do suspect that Unbound and similar will be play to 32inch wheels
strengths, much like XC MTBing though thatrCOs certainly not the terrain that Uk in particular Gravel is, which is a mix of old paths/roads and tamer
single track much like IrCOm planning on doing on Sunday.

I'd say the jury is still out on 32s. Jones ended up tenth, according to
him due to making a wrong line choice which ended up leaving his
drivetrain so caked with debris that he claims to have been passed by 6
people when he was in contention for 2nd place. Still, one would think
in an even that lasts over 9 hours, one bad line choice wouldn't cost
him 25 minutes in the last 50 miles.

That said, Robin Gemperle won the 356-mile (573km) race in 21:20, and
yes, on the same model Scott prototype with 32s. Though, to be fair his
win was editorialized as "Robin Gemperle has been in such impressive
form of late that he probably would have won that on a Brompton" (https://www.cyclingnews.com/bikes/gravel/backwards-tyres-and-self-lubing-chains-we-peel-back-the-mud-at-the-unbound-gravel-finish-line-to-reveal-some-curious-tech-choices/)

Indeed with the menrCOs 200 as well seemed to be the strength of the riders
and team, than the bike itself.

Did enjoy that luber, plus some riders had spatula to declog their bikes.

ItrCOs clearly work in progress, 32in my hunch is unbound is probably its
best shot even as 32in bikes with large straight and in places rough gravel roads, I believe one straight was number of miles which even if IrCOm out on Salisbury plains with its miles of gravel roads, just isnrCOt a thing, ie
lots of curves and dips and so on.

ItrCOs entirely possible that the larger size of the 32inch wheel and its
aero performance is a hinderance even if the rollover is better than
700/29ers, I still think itrCOs likely to be more niche than mainstream.
